How would you organize a garage with those measurements, in terms of width and lenght?

Also, im considering either a 2 post lift or an in ground scissor lift. Which one would you go with when its a 2 car garage.

My thoughts were that if i go 24wide 22deep i will be able to fit most cars comfortably.
One side of the garage would then have a scissor lift, or 2 post lift, and the other side would be for workbench and equipment

I wont be parking there much. The main focus is being able to maintain my cars

Not nearly big enough either way. But if you're not able to build bigger (like most gj recommendations) I would consider an in floor scissor lift centered in the space, with a 16' wide door. This could leave two parking spaces when not in use and leave enough space to service a vehicle when needed.

Im used to bigger garages and a 2 post lift but sadly i cant go that bigger this time

Would you do 22wide or 24wide with your suggestion?

I agree on the 24 wide version. Especially if you go for a 2 post lift. Most of them are 11-12ft wide to the outside of the posts and you need the post 2ft minimum from the wall just so you can set the arms. So that puts the post in the middle of the garage 13-14ft from the wall the lift is on. This will work even though it is tight w/ only 10-11ft width of the remaining bay. A 2 post will let you do pretty much anything to any car while a scissor blocks the center underneath. Decide if you can live w/ that restriction first.

I would go with 22' wide as you'll need as much depth as possible, simply just to have some working room around and to position the car on the lift. The front clearance is most important. There have been many situations where I have a car on a lift needing access to above and below the engine. You will find that the extra couple of feet in front makes more sense. Of course, this all depends on what type of work you plan on doing.

Same dilemma here. I've switch directions and not want a 4 post lift on casters than can be moved, including rolled outside to spray the bottom of the car off with a hose or spray paint the underside. I was concerned about wheel-off access, but I'm just going to buy or fab 2 of the cross-platforms and mount air lift bag jacks on them.

If you don't need parking for 2 cars, I would go 22' wide x 24' deep and center the lift left and right. I just installed a Rotary lift and they actually recommend a minimum 24' depth. Go with a single 16' door. You'll have plenty of room to move around the lift while rotating tires. Equipment can be set up on either side of the lift, just leave enough room close to the lift to get around.

You can fit a 2 post in a 24’ wide garage if installed 2’ from the side. You can park a car beside it as well.

I'm with the 22' wide and 24' deep camp. I'd get an 8' door and at least a 12' ceiling. I built a 24' x 24' last year. A 4 post gives you some flexibility because you can move it around and even outside. Get a rolling jack with it.

It will depend on the size of your vehicles but personally I'd go with 24' wide. My cars aren't that long, and I'd want room to open the doors without bumping the wall or the car in the adjacent stall.
