American Scale Red Seal vise questions

I'm watching an old Red Seal vise at an auction. It's severely rusty, but doesn't seem to have much damage. When I unscrew the handle, the screw comes out but the jaw doesn't move. What connects the moveable jaw to the screw? Easily fixed for a guy with a machine shop? Also, one of the jaw inserts is damaged. How are they held on? Screws? I can make a new insert easy enough. Thanks for any info!

Probably a shaft collar on the underside of the dynamic jaw. Sometimes they come loose.
Other times there's a collar on the outside that gets lost. Can you post a pic or link to pics of the same vise?

I'm not familiar with the hardware on that vise. Some vise's use an E clip in a groove. Some a collar with a set screw.

It's a #25; 6" vise, 195 lbs.(!) Yes, the jaw insert is broken, but the dynamic jaw casting is fine. I'll just make a new insert to fit. This is the only pic I have until I get it home. Hopefully the electrolysis rust removal cleans it up some. I noticed that it does have pipe jaws as well.
