I wouldn’t call it a round head, but it’s damn near perfection in a ratchet.

I call them "sweet heart" ratchets due to the heart-shaped bulge in the plate.
Here's some pics to peak your interest.

I just found a TT707 3/8ths ratchet on eBay and ordered it. This will be the first older Bonney ratchet I will have. My set is almost all the full polished. should be here by the end of the week.

Never handled one, but after seeing these pics, I'd sure like to!

Fine tooth action for sure, hefty feel, selector is nicely fashioned so it doesn't reverse unintentionally. Should prove to be a worthy addition to the ratchet drawer.

Another great tool that I would like to know about....
first off, it is not a rhft ratchet. they have some very specific traits. it looks like a round head but is actually a pear head or sweetheart to be more specific like bonneyman says

i have two of them. nice and smooth and about 44 clicks.

I have one a 1/2" drive, it is amazing, one of the smoothest vintage ratchets I own. It does not see a lot of use because of the short handle. I really like to use long handle ratchets in 1/2" drive.

Only if you buy a broken one and steal parts. But more importantly, the biggest issue with the T707 and A707 (1/2" drive version), that they are pressed together and cannot be repaired.

Mines a sweetheart style like bonneyman posted pictures of. It won't ratchet in either direction. Took it apart and it looks like the spring for the pawl is bent preventing all the teeth on the pawl from disengaging. If that makes sense?

I'd suggest that you clean it, oil it, straighten the spring and put it back together, and it will probably be fine.

Old post, I know...but do you remember how the pressed head parts came apart? I have one that needs a little TLC too. Thanks!

There's an internal snap ring that needs to come off the front side, after that the inside pieces can be removed for cleaning/lubing. I've not seen many Bonney ratchets with broken pawls, but have seen some. Hopefully your example just needs servicing.
