Purchased this Columbian 404-1/2 swivel jaw, swivel base vise today. Seller picked it up at an estate sale here in central Florida and only owned it a week. He had no idea it was a swivel jaw vise. The pin pulled out easily and the jaw swiveled just as easily. Doing research today I estimate the vise is circa 1950 based on the lettering pattern and the model on a raised rectangular space; however, I am definitely a novice with Columbian vises. I see they came out with a swivel jaw in 1917 according to that year's catalog. This vice is in good shape and will be a nice addition to the shop - my 1st swivel head vice! Thanks for the any comments/information! Much appreciated.
