Any good compact drill bit storage organizers?

I want to repackage my left hand drill bit set into something much smaller than the big metal folding case it came in. I always see alot of 1/4 bit aftermarket storage options but I never see anything for drill bits. I know I can take them and put them in a small ziplock bag or just all in a single tube but they won’t be organized 😑

Not sure which box you have, but they are pretty crammed in the standard box as it is. Unless you want to go ziplock baggie, I don't see if getting more compact unless you find a way to shrink them down more like freeze drying! What box do you have them in now?1000028490.jpg

You could do something like this, wood cut to fit a sardine can and small enough to put it away on a shelf.

It looks similar to that but it’s a left hand set that also got extractors in there I don’t need for my set. I just want like 6 or 10 drill bits. Honestly should prob just keep in a small ziplock bag but hoping there’s something nice for drill bits like there is for hex bits

We need to know what size range, otherwise we are just guessing.
Assuming smaller drills?

These sets are pretty compact.

What sizes? If you are just keeping 1/16-1/2 in 1/16 increments, you may find something. But if you want one that holds 1/8, 5/32, 3/8, 7/16, and 5/8, that's a pretty specific ask. If you want something for specific sizes, you are probably better off 3d printing something. 1/4 hex bits all fit the same size holes because they are all 1/4 hex.

that’s about the size I got. I wanted smaller for a compact kit since I don’t use those excrators.

I like the looks of those nylon pouches from McMaster I’ll check those out!

Canvas roll similar to a wrench roll is going to be the most compact and drill bit friendly

For work, I carry a few drill bits in my bag of tricks (1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” and corresponding drill bits for my taps).

I put it all in zipper Klein bag.

I keep mine in a hard eye glass case.I write on it,so there's no confusion on its contents.I keep multiples and center drills so it's easily brought out as needed. The contents get a little marking like the case.I use different cases and paint for different speciality drill bits, for instance a few cobalt bits I have

I love the Huot bit buddy, but I’m a “I want all the sizes” person. Any time I carry just a few I regret it.

I took this picture a decade ago but I still use this roll today. One of the best solutions for random customization I have come across. The unfolded half is basically a mirror image of whats shown.

While I like the compact footprint these offer, maybe it's just the Norseman units, or my failing eyesight but I cant's read the inner ring of sizes when I'm looking for a bit, I find that mildly annoying.
