Woodpeckers Semble Clamps problem
Woodpeckers Semble Clamps issue

It really does not pay for a company to ignore a problem with their products with the Internet in play. Wonder how much business they lost thanks to search engines.

Sorry to say, but you sound like the type of customer that makes me never work with customers again

Thanks for the heads up @jasonrohrer. I’m a woodworker myself and always try to keep sprays , waxes and oils off my work to avoid issues with finishes.
I have only a couple of small Woodpecker’s items. I’m not a fanboy and consider them to be very overpriced for what you get. If I feel the need to overspend on a “bling”square I’d go for Incra, Bridge City, Blue Spruce, etc.
In terms of Woodpecker’s reaction to this, they clearly drew a line where they said they don’t consider this a defect. I’ll contrast this with Lee Valley, who out of the blue sent me a re-engineered part for a rabbet plane when they had complaints that the depth stop could slip during use. They sent this out not just to people who had complained, but to everyone who had ever purchased this plane. I consider that world-class customer service. I continue to purchase from them for this reason.

Holy cow, 5 mins and there are pages of forums, videos, and social media post all from the OP complaining about the clamps.

Very strange AI discussions on X as well???? Maybe he is using AI to disseminate his beef? Seems very odd to put so much effort into to something that can be fixed with a piece of tape or a scrap of wood cut into a shim or caul

Saw this thread in my google results. Was on Woodpeckers site today and all their Semble clamps are no longer listed except for the Edge Clamps which are in limited quantities. I would say this is a good sign that there was an issue.
