I ordered a complete audio package from tech12volts. He specializes in Tundra audio.
I purchased the kit at the beginning of the year. He was waiting on some things to arrive before shipping, but he responded to every email.
The correspondence was great. I received it all, but had to wait for an open weekend for install.

Saturday we were supposed to go to Atlanta to help a friend lift his Jeep, but my wife got sick and we decided to stay at home. I decided to tear apart the truck and install everything.
First step, remove seats and clean! I've never done this and it showed. Was pretty dirty under there.

I decided to go with Kilmat for the sound deadening. Got the rear panel knocked out.

Got everything laid out. I didn't have any instructions though. There were lots of questions. I ended up calling Mr. Taylor on Saturday and they accidentally sent the instructions to someone else. He promptly got them sent to me and all of my questions were answered.

I decided to mount the bass knob right where my fingers are when I'm driving, so I wouldn't have to reach somewhere else everytime. Also it's kind of hidden which I like.

I got the power wire ran, the grounds hooked up, the scosche mounted with velcro and wires placed.

Mounted the amp and started wiring. I had to use a couple of 25 year old RCAs temporary, because the kit was missing them. Mr. Taylor is going to mail them to me today.

I finished and had it all working Saturday night. Components in the doors would be installed Sunday.

Sunday I got out in the garage early and started on the driver front door. I think more time was spent deciding how to route the wiring than doing the work.
Ended up cutting the plastic to install some kilmat inside the door skin, so I just placed a piece over the hole and called it good.

I had to cut off the lip on the tweeter to fit in the Toyota OEM mount. JL changed their design.

Once cut off, it fits very snug. No need for any epoxy.

Got everything buttoned up and moved to the passenger side. The plastic is blue over there...

You do not have to cut the lip off the tweeter to fit the rear OEM tweeter mount. It will slide in there very snug how it is.

Rear door installed.

I set up the amp according to the instructions. Since there were no "Y" RCAs, I was told to use the amp in 4 channel mode. I still need to fine tune everything. I am getting lots of "engine feedback" through the speakers. I am thinking it may be the 25 year old RCAs I am using. Once I get the correct RCAs, I'll go from there.
All the ground locations were removed of paint and locked down tight. I don't think it is a ground issue, but I'll find out soon.
Oh and I got a different steering wheel for the vette. I wanted alcantera that was thicker. I found this one on Ebay for pretty cheap, so I decided to try it out.

I also have a rear lip spoiler for the vette coming in the mail. It already got here damaged, so they had to send out another one.
I'll update when I get it installed.
