I finally bought myself another very useful and necessary tool in the garage and not only in the garage. This is a 3D printer. Not the coolest model and not photopolymer printing, a regular printer with a field size of 265x265x265mm. I'm learning how to create 3D models and have already printed a couple of useful things. It's quite interesting. I think I'll print something for my tractor too.

FreeCAD is a serious CAD program. Its interface is a bit dated, but it's the real deal. What printer did you get?
Yes, it's quite serious. I'm still learning how to work in it, and I've already made and printed a couple of simple models. I bought a Twotrees SK1 printer. I paid about $300 for the printer and 10 PETG filomenta coils.

Vlad the 3d printer is a game changer. Allows iteration and progressive thinking. Hopefully you can get to enough of the web to grab some of the existing useful models. I am on my second printer and got the grandson started on his 1st.
Hope the printer unlocks your design freedom!
Enjoy and stay well.

I haven't written for a long time. I'm alive and well. There was a rocket danger again more than once, sirens howled all night. This time it flew past my city. The strike hit the civilian population in Cheboksary, and there are casualties. I don't think I'm the only one who is infuriated by this "victorious" war that has been going on for five years and the endless restrictions on everything and everything. Working on a tractor is almost imperceptible, small things like shortening the gas cable or making floors take a lot of time. I've ordered more spare parts for the hydraulics, and I'm waiting for them to arrive. At the same time, I am mastering 3D modeling and 3D printing. It's an interesting activity. There is a catastrophic lack of space, the video shows how I have to park the tractor and the car to fit in the garage.

Foremost, it is great to hear that you and your family are safe. At the same time , it saddens me to hear about the poor innocent civilian casualties and the hell that you and your fellow citizens are going through.

One of best friends has also gotten heavily involved with 3D modeling and printing and is having a blast. It seamed sky is the limit as what one can do.

As for scarcity of garage space, it seems to be a universal issue, no matter how big the garage is. I think garage space is like one’s stomach 😀! The more one eats the bigger the stomach gets and hence it needs even more food which causes it to stretch again! I have a very large three car garage with a lot of space around the and between the cars but somehow 😀 I have ran out of space!

@Vieux Glad to see you sir. Tractor looks like it is running and moving on its own. The parking and space issue is the same everywhere, never enough space.
Sometimes I leave stuff parked in neutral so if i touch it with something else it can move and not be damaged.

Should you happen upon a couple pair of these they make moving equipment in the shop very easy.

I live in a very rural area, heard a large aircraft overhead which is quite unusual. Thought more than once about sirens and warning noises. I can only imagine the angst it causes for the people disturbed.

Stay well!

It's been a long time since I've written anything. The tractor project is moving very slowly. There is still no mobile internet in the city, and there is a constant threat of drones and missiles. We live like on a volcano, and we don't know when or where the next attack will occur. However, the most distressing news of the day is the passing of my best friend, a brilliant engineer and inventor. Just the night before, we had been on the phone discussing the projects he was working on and planning to visit him in August. However, in the morning, I was informed that he had passed away... I'm still in shock. I can't do anything. I couldn't go to his funeral either, it's more than 1,200 km away, and planes don't fly because of this war. He was 60 years old, and it's a huge loss for me. I don't have many photos of him because neither of us likes to take pictures. This photo of us drinking beer was taken in my garage in 2018.

Владимир, мне очень жаль видеть этот пост о потере брата, я уверен, что он был не просто хорошим другом, а именно таким человеком. Это напоминает мне о том, что нужно ценить каждый день.

Thank you all for your words of support!

Some time ago, my family and I went to the neighboring city of Saransk (about 150 km) for the Lisa Fest car sound festival and just an exhibition of cars. It was very loud and quite interesting. A few photos from the city of Saransk and the festival. I hope you will be interested.

The church is absolutely stunning and magnificent. It seems like you and your family had fun at the car show, which is great to hear! I hope you find more fun activities to help take your mind off the current situation.

Thank you for sharing the lovely photos. Your photography skills are, as usual, outstanding..

Be safe!

Vladimir, my condolences on the loss of your dear friend.

The loss of anyone close to us does have a certain effect on our lives, believe me I know this from personal life experiences, though it is good that you are spending time with your family and enjoying life as it was meant to be.
Although I can understand and comprehend that one can never forget a loss of an individual so close to us, it's easier said than done but still life goes on and we have to continue on with living our live's not just for our self's but for our family as well.

Take care and GOD bless.

I enjoyed the white car that drops so low the need blocks under it, why?
You must have perfect roads in Russia, here not so much, my roads **** and I drive a truck to not have to worry about it too much, I see the kids in lowered cars and don't get it.

Peace brother.

No roads in the whole world are as perfect as Michigan roads 😀!

In fact, in Michigan, when the police see someone driving in a straight line, they immediately arrest them for a DUI! In contrast, sober folks have to continuously zigzag on the road to try to avoid the huge potholes 😀!

Vladimir, thanks for sharing the photos of your time in Saransk. After seeing those cars with their audio systems, might I suggest you invest some money in hearing-aid batteries.

I think this advice is more suitable for those who drive inside these cars. :)

Thanks! You're absolutely right.
Vlad, loving the images, Always glad to see you and your postings. The little car with the 4 speakers on the back, radio controlled? Drive-able? Thanks and stay well!
This is a children's car powered by a battery. Most likely, it is used as an advertising decoration.

I don't understand this youth movement either. This car has an air suspension system. The roads in Russia are far from ideal and it is simply unrealistic to drive in such a car.

:ROFLMAO:(y)

Another weekend trip with my family. This time we visited the ancient Russian city of Saratov. It is 250 km away, and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. A city on the banks of the Volga River, with old streets and modern buildings. It was interesting to walk along the embankment and admire the Volga River. This city is also very often attacked by drones and missiles. Everything was calm when we were there. A few photos from Saratov, I think you will be interested.
The stove pipe burst on my car, which is located in the village. I started the engine and smoke came out from under the hood. I had to repair it .

Vladimir, Thank you for sharing the interesting photos of Saratov. The Volga river is definitely one of the mightiest rivers in the world.

I am glad you had fun in Saratov.

I am curious about the smoke from your car’s “stove pipe.” Are you referring to a downpipe/front pipe that had cracked, or was the gasket deteriorated? Or was the exhaust manifold cracked?

Everything is much simpler - the rubber hose going to the stove burst and the antifreeze got on the exhaust manifold. It was probably more accurate to say that it was not smoke, but steam.
I always wanted to visit Saratov. Both my grandfather and great grandfather are from there. Pretty much the whole family left the region around 1920 and came to Canada and the US.
Saratov is a city that is definitely worth a visit.
Saratov is a city that is very fond of cats :)
