Zoro shipping updates are hit /miss.

When you receive the invoice in your email , then you know it's shipped /about to be delivered.
The Gedore stuff is always slow barring the one time I ordered.

When I track the orders through my account the delivery date is “by June 18th” which is what the original listings said if I recall correctly.

I didn't get an estimate when I ordered , I just saw " extended leed time " on everything that I ordered. It also said " should ship within one month of being ordered and that they update me on 2 weeks with an estimate which they did

There have been times where the tracking has only updated on th day of delivery. I've just learned to trust it.

The 1/2" drive socket set set from last year was direct shipped from Germany - for me, at least. I expect this accounts for some of the delay and I expect the same for the recent offerings under discussion here.

It is the GR3085023 Gedore 1/2 in drive 16 pc socket set, sold for $57 on Zoro. Currently, it sells for $316 on KC Tools and probably was about the same price at that time, too. So, yes stupid cheap, but no it's no match for the current version of stupid cheap.

Just got the same. I guess that's easier than saying " we made a mistake and we don't want to honor the price " but having said that , if it was a mistake then I'm totally ok with them cancelling the items as I wouldn't really feel too good about benefiting from an administrator's Excell error.

I was hoping , like other items before that were of a similarly discounted that it was legitimate and not a pricing error. I knew it was a long shot which had an " anyone's guess " to whether it would be fulfilled or not but my hope sort of grew as we got near to and then went past the shopping date and I hadn't received a cancellation email.

Same here: "Our supplier has informed us that these item(s) have been discontinued, and therefore have been removed from your order."

Applies to both the screwdriver and socket set. I don't suppose that it would help matters to inform them that I'd be willing to accept an equivalent item(s) from Gedore's catalog as a substitute...

That is what I did. I ended up buying some armored gloves (a 12 pack) that I didn't really need but will use. Those got here just fine. Then no Gedore stuff.

Anyways, I won't be ordering anything from Zoro any longer.

I got a drill chuck key I couldn’t find elsewhere: It has been in my cart for a while, just wasn’t worth the cost alone when shipping costs added. So I got the key for a fair price in a short time. I did get the gedore reducer, not an exceptional value for a “red” tool made in Taiwan, but not a rip off. If I never break it my mind may be changed: but I’ve long since changed my strategies that used to have me twisting reducers in 2.

If the prices were dropped to move inventory/clear shelf space/sku updates I was hopeful some tool nerds benefited. If it was an entry error I see no “right” that anyone should benefit from a mistake. Will probably never know, but is fun to take a chance every once in a while.

I doubt it was purposeful - Zoro stocks an incredible number of items so I'd chalk it up to an error. They offer free shipping at just $50, which I also think is quite generous with shipping rates these days.

As far as I know ( I'm Assuming ) I think there is an API that pulls from all the suppliers , theire system then probably ads x % markup and it's then drop shipped.
If this is an error on anyone's part , I'd think it to be Gedore's part rather than Zoro. I think Zoro processed as normal and Gedore was " sorry , no can do " - This is probably why we were also notified so late as well as usually were notified quickly when something isn't available.

Something KC tool said to me when I inquired about that $20 Gedore set that sells for over $100. They said , this isn't a pricing error ,the price is directly from Gedore which makes me thing it's all automated using their data with a formula for the markup percentage added.

My sister , for one of her clients , has to plug data into a retailer's website in a similar fashion , my sister works for a parts wholesaler.

I may be wrong of course.
