I came across a Munton vise for sale and can't find a picture of one to make sure it is complete. I know it is missing the jaws. It looks like it is missing the handle as well. Does anyone have a picture? Thank you.

-No photo or info to contribute. I worked in the Franklin Park area from about 1984-1994 and the greater Chicago area for over 20 years but never heard of a vise company by name of Munton. The Wilton plant was in the suburb next door (Schiller Park) but that's all I got. I tried looking Munton up and got nothing from a quick search.

Flipping thru Google Books, they appear to be a Hydraulics company. Any chance that’s a Hydraulic vise? If so, could be why the handle is missing.

That is a good possibility! The only thing I could find is that the company made vises and presses. I should've taken pictures of the hole on the opposite side of the jaws, where it might have had a handle or a place for use of a hydraulic devise.

I am wondering if this was an accessory to their press and/or if you needed to use their hydraulic devise to use this vise.

If I purchase this, it would just be eye candy
