Hi, new here!
I have a pair of VINTAGE SK GREEN HANDLE LONG MAGNETIC BIT SCREWDRIVERS with broken end caps. The manufacturer doesn't carry them anymore and I was wondering if there are caps from other manufacturers that would fit?

Mine are similar, just a bit longer. Model # is 73517 but is no longer visible. Picture wouldn't help.

Craftsman screwdrivers (bit holders) have the same cap. They're more plentiful than S-K. See more of them at swaps & sales. The tough part is deciding which one to keep. You'll always be at least 1 cap short. Some Snap On & Mac will also work.

I've also noticed that some of the oddball & off brand ones have funky threads.

I bought some S-K end caps in the 90's from S-K for my green handled screwdrivers that I bought new in 1978. I might have an extra one. Let me look and see. It might take me a day or two.

I have a "KR TOOLS" driver that may possibly fill the bill. It appears to have an outer thread diameter of 45/64".
:dunno:

^ if you're in the continental US, it'll cost me about .... $7 bucks to put that in the mail to you. let me know if you want to give it a shot.
I don't believe I've ever had one of those S-K units here, so I can't even guess if this is close.

Hi Guys, sorry for the delayed response. I've been out of pocket for while.
However, I found a solution. I reamed out the hole nicely and whittled a joining biscuit into shape and glued it in.
Looks nice and it works.
Thanks for your input.

Just out of curiosity. I'd like to see a picture or two of that solution.

Link doesnt work. Try this, below. Looks like 2.99 each, with standard shipping running $7.99 (even for a few).

not currently missing any myself but have seen many missing the caps.

i would think someone who took the time should be able to copy one and print a few. not my area of expertise but i would think it could be done.
