For those who were curious

Don't open them too wide though as the spring then falls out , so while this won't be an issue most of the time as you have to use a fair amount of force to open them that little more , the spring shouldn't fall out that easily so the spring is a little too short.

Not the worst nor the best pliers I've bought for $7 , they function and do what they're supposed to do.

What is this Zoro thread you speak of?

plenty of 15%-20% coupons being shared but the 3/8 Gedore socket sets for $14 have all sold out and the $49 1/2 Gedore socket sets are now $85 which is still a fair amount lower than the $2-$300 asked elsewhere.

^^ other than getting a wrench stuck , I'm at aloss for the use of ratchet switch on those, unless they only flex one way.

I’m a fan of my Williams flex reversibles. Toolant seems pretty good quality for the price. I have a set of dual drive triple squares I’ve used a few times on low clearance VW stuff and they’ve been great. Especially for the price.

They also have dual drive nano hex/torx which performs very good,I wish they could release a nano ratchet to pair with the bits

I really don’t like any non-reversible wrenches. I tighten and loosen to get alignments of various parts frequently and I don’t want to be flipping a wrench around. Also I don’t get the wrench on in the correct direction every time. I’ve had the toolant for a few months without complaint, and the Williams for a few years. I reach for Proto non-flex versions whenever possible, so the flex heads are low use.

At least they are all there. I was thinking about this thread today when i was tearing my drawers aprt looking for my ratching 18mm wrench. O thats right it was skip asize day when gearwrench made that set , # 18 and #16 was missing from the set. 3/4 was too big and 11/16 was too small. Busted out another set for the 18. 18 is a common suspension size and the one i needed today and 16 is another common size. Those sets where picked up from Advanced on a sale several years ago and never paid much attention but i needed the 16 several times. This skip a size **** is BS when your selling a set of wrenches.

Agreed. I recently bought a couple of sets of thin wrenches (sae & metric) & had to buy 1 more wrench each to complete the sets.

I'm curious, what brand thin wrench did you buy? I don't member the brand I bought, started with an "O" I think. Anyway, they're kind of sloppy fitting.. Did you have better luck with yours?

Duratech. I bought both sae & metric. So far I've only used them for adjusting appliance feet. And work from both sets to find whatever fits best rather than knowing what size they should be. They seem to feel alright. I'll know better about fit once they get used for an automotive task.

They are not on any kind of deal today. When I bought them the metric set was $6 off.

And I had to buy an individual 15, 16 mm & a 5/8, 11/16 to cover all the sizes I wanted. The 11/16 end is a duplicate. Crazy that the set came with 9/16 & 11/16 but without a 5/8. It seems like they could have eliminated one of the less common sizes (9/32, 11/32, 13/32, or 1-1/16) & included a 5/8.

I have the Capri tools sets, which don't skip sizes
[Edit: Just looked and 11/16 is skipped. Huh.]

https://www.amazon.com/Capri-Tools-Super-Thin-Wrench-7-Piece/dp/B078JDRMH2?tag=atomicindus08-20

Also this larger metric set 13-24mm, 26mm, 28mm
https://www.amazon.com/Park-Tool-Shop-Wrench-Piece/dp/B00H3T8U1M?tag=atomicindus08-20

And finally, Knipex pliers wrenches with the jaws milled thin.

I got a chuckle over the missing 18mm.
The first wrench set I bought, way too many years ago, was Sears Craftsman inch + metric, box+open combo.
It skipped 18mm, but included both 19mm and 3/4"
Fortunately it was Sears, back in the day, and the store let me exchange the 19mm for an 18mm.
I still have that set, but it's not collectible complete because the original 19mm is missing :ROFLMAO:

If I'm reading camelcamelcamel correctly, this is the lowest price they've ever been.

Crescent Wood Chisel Set - 4 pcs
Great deal on a set of heavy chisels. I own (3) bought individually at different times. Note they are carbon steel vs Chrome Vanadium and do take a sharp edge after knocking off factory edge. Haven't used enough to determine edge retainability long term. The fatter rubber coated handle allows good grip. The handle measures 5" and the blade length is 4-5/8". Much nicer than the $10-$13 crude, puny sets at box stores or HF.
