Very large 8” vintage Wilton bullet style vice

I have 2 old vintage Wilton bullet style fixed base style versus vest.one is 6” in perfect working condition the other is a very large 8” and I think all it’s missing is the rear retainer nut?

Man, that's big!

It was originally a swivel base, but is missing the base.

Does the jaw go in and out when you turn the handle? It looks to me like it's just missing the plug for the end. You can probably find an engine freeze-plug that will fit.

Beat me to it. That’s exactly what I was gonna say.

Long ago, I took a Wilton bullet to the auto parts store and challenged the counter man to find a freeze plug that fit. He found one. I think I paid less than $2.00
