my cantilever box currently comes in at around 18kg (~40lbs) all in, wheels won't help as my job entails stairs and working on models in tunnels - I keep looking at backpacks (and loosing some wight from the kit...) but haven't found one that suits yet but tis thread is giving me ideas

I have the really big Klein canvas bag that they used to offer with custom embroidered names, and one of those Klein tool backpacks that's kind of like a Veto. The toolbag is in my truck with more tools than I realistically need on the side of the road, and the Klein is full of home improvement type stuff from when I used to do Taskrabbit for fun on the weekends.

I also have one of those cheap canvas bucket bags with the rope handle from Harbor Freight that I use for junkyard trips - something I don't mind throwing away if it gets torn up or soaked in mud

I had the big Veto bag while I was still doing finish work, installing cabinets, mortise locks, etc.. Customers often told me they knew they hired the right guy as soon as I walked in with that bag in my hand. Prices have gone up on them, I sold mine for what I paid for it. It was in pristine condition.
