Sorry to see and hear about that awesome paint job on your El Camino having to get re sprayed but as some say if money can fix a problem it’s not a problem (not that I totally agree with that statement).
Your small projects are always over the top. Did you find chrome wing nuts or are you sending plain wing nuts to your chrome guy? Or I’ll look in my inventory for wing nuts if you need a size you don’t already have or can’t buy.

Got the call from the chrome shop so I went out and picked up the final pieces for the glass lantern and finished it up tonite. So this is only project # 6 this year. Running behind on the smaller projects while I spend time on the El Camino and the COE .
Now to find the perfect place for it in the BPG

Great job.Had a helper drop by today so I decided to get the ford blackhawk tool board hung which meant moving some stuff around to make room for the new board. I've been on the hunt for the old tools that hang on the board and only need 3 more to complete it.

The tools stay nice because you rarely needed to fix a Ford?........ (or anyone could keep them running with farmer fixes)

After being away for 2-3 years, the first thing is to catch up with Don! We all get our share of the health detours.
He has not changed a bit, & I am sure he is overdoing just a bit, physically. Glad you got the quality time with your son, as that is priceless.
Mollie struck me too as I have another friend in transition as he loses his companion of 14 years with their family dog, Amy. Mollie, now she knows how to look innocent when sitting on the golf cart!
Love the Z car but if God & Don and of course Ann ever bless me with a stroll through BPG, I go straight for the Vette unless the El Camino gets in my path.

Spent the day working on the big C.O.E. this week since my SIL came out from Arizona to lend a helping hand. We took the sleeper off the truck and built the floor for it. Also cut the right side panel out for an entry door. Now I'll try to build a stair way and a door for it.
The sleeper is back on the truck and the truck is back on the lift tonite.
Please don't look at the El Camino in the background. That's another story UHH

What the heck?!?
After a long review of the finished El Camino It was painfully decided that we could do a better job the second time arround.
Both 1/4 panels were damaged while driving the truck without air in the shocks causing the tires to rub burning the paint above the wheel wells, the left door was damaged while buffing due to too fresh of paint, the hood had gouged the inner fenders when closed from a couple of ruff edges on the underside of the hood, and the dash board was a bit lighter in color than the rest of the truck. So with all those items that needed attention I decided to redo the truck with the help of very well known custom painter donated to me from my good friends at P.P.G. the paint company. He comes and spends one week a month working with me on the truck. The goal is to have it ready to show by the October date when the paint company has scheduled their annual business party here at the BPG

Found a little time to work on the inside bed panel today. I needed to raise the lines of the indents to give me a clean straight line for the wood floor
There are 10 panels inside the bed and I got 3 of them raised to
That's a little detail I wouldn't have thought of before tackling a project like this. Great eye. ***** you have to redo the paint.

Sorry to hear about all the issues with the El Camino but maybe there is a silver lining having another pro painter around for a while. I bet he’ll learn more from you than you from him but hope it works out.

Been working on this old oil dispenser for the past couple of weeks. It was all bloated out on all 4 sides from the oil pressure I'm guessing. Well I now have it straight and after several coats of bondo and primer it has one color on it.
The pump action needed a little help
I bought new pipes for the mechanicals and polished them along with the nuts and bolts that hold it all together
Next an accent coat of blue paint then off to the sign painter for some Richfield oil Co's logo painting on the front and sides.

I bet it never gets old taking rusty old stuff and making every piece of it shine and adding a fresh coat of paint or chrome when needed.
You’ll probably have to pass out sunglasses to visitors with all that shiny steel and chrome in the party garage! It’s waaaaaaay more impressive than any museum I’ve ever seen or heard of. And you did most of it yourself which is unbelievable!! Of course you have a few great friends to help when needed.
