Vintage Grinder Sticker Reproduction

Reproduction labels for a Di-Acro #4 24” Metal Shear. I purchased this last month in rough shape - it was stored outside and totally seized, and was missing the table. Within a week I had it fully disassembled, repainted, and functioning smoothly. It looks so much better with a nice paint job and a set of fresh labels.
Di-Acro wanted more for a replacement table than I paid for the entire machine. I found someone local selling a 1/4” thick sheet of steel, and cut it to size. Some holes had to be drilled, tapped and countersunk. What made this easy was that I already have the exact same unit to use as a template. The funny thing is I bought this for the stand to put on my shear. I’ve had been using a repurposed Delta scroll stand, which I’ve since swapped to this unit.

Nice restoration on that sweet little shear. Kudos to whoever made those beautiful nameplates for you! 
Here is the reproduction tag complete. It is laminated with a scuff resistant polycarbonate, then applied to a 0.020” sheet of aluminum with 1/8” holes punched for drive screws.@mattblast
Would you be interested in doing this Dayton one for me? I can scan to pdf or whatever you need

I re-did a Dayton grinder and my labels are in poor condition. Can you please take a look at the attached and let me know what you might be able to do? I'd really like the main motor label and on/off switch label re-done in aluminum. I did manage to save them in the resto but they detract. Also, the top safety sticker would be a bonus or really any age appropriate "PUT ON YOUR GLASSES" style label would be great...I need the reminder

Additionally, I had some Baldor vertical vinyl stickers made for my sander. The creator was kind enough to send me some additional color options so, I can pass these along if anyone can use! White or some shades of blue....

You should have added "Theoretical" above the HP, but in dark gray, so it was harder to read...

It sounds like your method is far easier than the one I used with a 1937 Delta 24" scroll saw.
I had two decals (not nameplates or stickers) to replace, and it took a lot of work to reproduce them. I created the various text areas (the fonts had long since been obsolete), and then brought everything together in one file to print.
I re-did the entire saw, decals and all. All things considered, I think it turned out well.
I am currently trying to decide what to do with a 1941 Delta drill press. The main decal is mostly intact, but no where near perfect. The paint has been darkened by decades of exposure to oils and the environment.

Finally getting to a single phase twin to this grinder & it needs a new data plate due to fading.Is this image clear enough to create a duplicate? A single voltage 3 phase 200V grinder is not as common as the 230/460V 3 phase, or 115/230V single phase models . For those who don't know, 200V is for use on a 208V system.
When I bought my grinder the tag was missing, it came from a school in Truckee, CA.
I made a set of labels for Garage Journal member BreeStephany for a Skilsaw 107 restoration.
My printer prints one color, then rewinds the material before printing the next. This can cause mis-registration between colors up to 0.030”. Most of the time this isn’t noticeable, but when there’s an overlap between colors, I add a bleed to the top color. You can see an area where both the black and red print on top of each other.

Lucas fuel injection plate from a Maserati. This is engraved on 0.060” aluminum using a 0.030” engraving bit. It was then color filled with a bake to cure paint for durability and heat resistance.
I had an exact match single stroke font for the small text, then hand drew the Lucas logo. The smaller holes were punched and the larger one was drilled then filed to size.
It still needs to be stamped and polished, then is ready to install

I found a Beverly throatless shear for a good price on Facebook marketplace, but it was in rough shape. It was fully disassembled and wire wheeled to remove the paint and rust, then a fresh coat of paint was added. Of course I made a replacement label. The original drive screws snapped when the old tag was removed, so new holes were drilled with a #51 bit so that I could use #0 drive screws.
The tag was laser engraved on a piece of anodized aluminum, then diamond scribed on a cnc rotary engraver for the model number. I made a small change in the design - the model number was made slightly smaller and centered in the rectangle. The original one didn’t fit.

I’d like to buy some of these. Mine measure 4 inches long and 1.5 inches tall.Thanks to Torqueman for providing a flat scan of the Sears Best label. This wasn’t easy to make due to very poor label conditions. Final product printed on metallic glitter film with scuff resistant lamination.

Sioux Tools Valve Grinder reproduction tag. This is one of that larger labels I’ve made at 12” in diameter. All I had was a photograph of the original but that was enough to make an accurate reproduction. Printed then a clear gloss lamination was applied. I can’t want to see it installed!

Hi Matt, I have a Delta floor standing drill press that has been fully restored. It is running beautifully. My only finishing touch is the 2" diameter badge that mounts onto the front of the belt guard. It is so faded and beat up that I can't bring myself to mount it back on the machine. I was wondering if you could possibly work your magic to produce a replacement on aluminum for it? You can get a feel for what the colors are supposed to be by looking at the left side mounting hole where some of the original paint is still visible. It looks like the lettering is actually yellow against a red background, with the triangle black. The closest I was able to find online appears beneath it.

Restoration of a Di-Acro shear No. 3 (12”) with reproduction nameplate. I found this on Facebook marketplace in rough shape for $120. There are several variations of the nameplate and this is one I haven’t seen before. It was laser engraved on lacquered black aluminum then the serial number was diamond scribed using a cnc engraver. I fully disassembled it, stripped it and repainted it with brush on Rustoleum (hunter green and sunburst yellow). It works great now with smooth motion.
