So I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about those rear tires.

I don't mind them. They are definitely softer and ride significantly better than traditional tires. They have quite a bit of flex to then so really soak up the terrain. They are supposed to have better grip as well but I didn't really notice a big difference there but I'm not mowing crazy hills or anything. At work we have only warrantied a couple out of thousands so they seem to hold up well.

Boost, I know you are trying to stay "hip" with the new kidz... but I don't think running wire wheels & low profile tires on your tractor are what the kidz are doing nowwa days... LOL!! I am not sure I am buying the whole holding up well argument... it looks like even with your smooth terrrain you bent a rim!!..... LOL!!
Seriously though.. i have not ever seen that new tire setup... how long has JD been doing that?? how is the reception from the "ol' farmers" been??

They are called "tweels" and have been around for a few years. A buddy of mine runs a set on his Gravely, they are an option for most commercial makes these days.

They have technically been "out" since around 2005 but became more mainstream and are even a factory option now within the last 8-10 years. You can even get front caster tweels so you can have all 4.

Are they $1400 better (for the rears only) than a standard tire......I'm not sure on that to be honest, but they do ride nice.

So when building my daughter's bed room, sometimes being a dumb dumb, I had a piece of the old baseboard as a sample to buy a router bit to match the profile (base and case is the same profile) (but not the same size). Well I without thinking also grabbed 1x4 to match the size I had in my hand as well. Got home got it routed and made and installed and went shoot that's bigger than the door it's right next too.....oh **** I just put "base" on the wall. I tried, I really tied to leave it and move on, well it bothered me that it didn't match. So that got fixed lol 🤦. Now I just have to finish the base and get everything sealed to match the amber color of the existing stuff a little better.

Being VBS week I had some free evenings so I got a lot of bush hogging done and started working on installing the kick walls in the arena. The are supposed to be coming back with more material to finish the exterior grading and then I'm gonna start filling the inside and working on walls "as we go". I'm waiting on another lumber delivery (it's all 2x8 PT) and then I will probably have some sort of "party" one evening and see if I can recruit a couple neighbors and friends to help knock it out.

Just curious, what made it nasty and what will be done with the cuttings? :headscrat

It had foxtail in it and a lot of clover, thick ground cover, flowers etc. stuff my bougie *** horses won't eat. I thought about bailing it and selling it to a cow guy but really mostly just didn't have the time and then it got too late I didn't want to get stuck with a giant stack of wet moldy hay like I did last year because my barn is full already.
