Hi Jon. That '64 falcon vert with the flames is kinda cool.

I always liked them. Even though our Falcons down here were pretty much direct copies of yours for most of the 60's, somehow we skipped the '64's, and we never got any verts.

Bit of a shame the mini me with it seems to be a '55 Chev.

The Falcon was one of my favorites as well.

We traveled 586 miles yesterday to Kingston, Ontario CA for the 2026 NASSAM (North American Solstice & Sky Annual Meet).

Thanks for clarification and your trailer looks like another solstice without pics from the side.

Also bee careful on the Ontario freeways cause as I recall the drivers up there are crazy fast and not friendly. Also exits are on both sides of freeways. And if you find a nice open freeway it may be an expensive toll one that they send you a bill in the mail.

Our experience so far on the freeway (the 401) has been good.
Courteous drivers, and driving about the same amount over the speed limit as I like to drive.

ALTHOUGH…. Converting kilometers per hour to miles per hour is a bit of a guess in the Solstice. The KPH is barely readable to me.
I thought I had a picture of the speedometer, but I’ll have to take one later.

We were on a toll road for around 50 kilometers to get around Toronto, but what ever it will cost me it was worth it.
Traffic was really backed up from summer construction, plus the World Cup Soccer games.

The pizza was great!

Having a v8 with a manual transmission might be more than a little fun to drive in a car that size. Your Solstice cars opened up look like some futuristic movie car. Do all the doors open that way on s as ll solstice cars?

The upward opening doors are nick-named “Lambo doors”.
They were not factory built on the Solstice or Sky, but an aftermarket hinge kit.
Lambo doors are also known as scissor doors or vertical doors.
They were on the Lamborghini Countach.

I purchased a used set of the hinges a long time ago, but have never installed them.
At the car show yesterday, I asked the owner of the silver Solstice pictured above if Donna & I could try getting in and out of his car to determine If we could enter & exit easier.
It is easier to get your feet in & out of the car.
I think I will install the hinges this upcoming winter.

We did not go to Niagara Falls, however today we did go on the Thousand Islands Boat Cruise on the St. Lawerence River.

Friday was the Island Farm Experience run on Wolfe Island, Ontario.
Wolfe Island is the largest of the Thousand Islands, and is located at the entrance to the St. Lawrence River in Lake Ontario.
One of the NASSAM members has a farm on the island, and graciously hosted a tour of their farm, and provided the lunch that day.
