Confirm this Allan lathe is for valves please

Need to confirm this bench top lathe is for or is not for valve facing. And what all is missing as it may be going to scrap unless someone wants it.

Cool tool. I believe it is an armature lathe for electric motors and such.

Yup, found it in the following 1948 catalog on IA.

Cool thanks. I told him it might have been for armatures but he didn't remember his dad using it for that. Then we thought it was for valves. I will let him know.
