Just a thought to add. I'm a Bosch 18V guy. I like it. Bosch has had somewhat limited offerings. So I have some M12 and M18 stuff. I really don't want 3 platforms. So when I needed a M18 battery, I bought an adapter for a Bosch battery. Works great. When all the M18s die, I'll buy adapters and will be on 2 battery platforms. I see no reason not to own multiple brands and battery adapters if they are available and I prefer 1 brand for a certain tool over another.

I have some Milwaukee and Makita 18 volt with a side of Milwaukee 12 volt. I just can’t see paying big brand money for some of these tools. Hoping the sale on Hercules batteries comes around soon as I have a few wants, Impact driver for the garage so my Milwaukee can stay in the house kit, extended ratchet and maybe a cordless trim router.
