The only organizer I use are the cheapest HF socket rails.

The rest of strictly by drawer. Top to bottom; locking pliers, pliers and cutters, metric wrenches, SAE wrenches, screwdrivers. Within a drawer there may be some organization (wrench facing the same direction; straight blade screwdrivers with handles to the left, Phillips with handles to the right).

My main box is now a road box/shop box as I bounce back and forth. I'm trying to OCD organize the tools so I can tell at a glance if something is missing.

Sockets was easy as I frequently have to grab tools and take them to the machine or up on it rails it is. Everyday sockets are on locking magnetic socket rails by mechanic time saver, except for 1/4 drive. Those are all on Harbor Freight koken style rail, which I'd bet is probably the same supplier. Specialty sockets are on metal clip rails.

Big items like prybars hammers I found some bent sheet metal angle, glued magnets to the bottom and use that for drawer dividers. Also works well for things like multimeter, test leads etc

Haven't figured out pliers, wrenches or round tools like extensions and punches. My usual tool roll organizer don't fit in the drawers rolled up so they're stacked in layers but I don't like the corners catching as I close the drawer. The alien style organizer is interesting as its basically the same as the spring organizer I used before but I need magnets in the bottom or something so they stick to the drawer and don't move around.

I guess this would be the place to ask. Ernst plier racks, will they work with vise grips(handle side in rack)? Mainly for the 11sp/10r ones. No place within a 90 min drive to actually see them and I’m guessing someone has tried here.
Thanks.

- 3d print file from thingiverse, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6830862
- sent to local library for printing
-3 days and $2.50 later, some alienspadesacer-like organizers.

Temp using dowels until I find better 1/4 rod (likely aluminum).
I wasn’t sure about the “color in with marker” labels since it’s hard to get perfect. Some black marker over extra white paint marker any and it’s looks great

Same guy has plier (big and small) on 1/4 rod as well. Those are in print queue at library. I’ll give an update after.

It was
Did those labels move? I’m stressed out 😬

it was really hot when I was putting the labels on and the adhesive was kind of runny. I don’t look at those, they are there for my wife’s sake (or my sake, I guess), so she doesn’t have to pull every wrench out of the drawer and look at the size while I’m laying under the car contemplating whether or not I should have just got up and got the wrench myself. Same with the labels on the fronts of the drawers. I know which drawer it’s in but it’s easier to tell her what the drawer says on it, or if my son is here he can read the labels and get the tool he needs without opening every drawer.
