Found another pair at a recent estate sale. Not sure I’ll ever use them again but why not?IMG_8290.jpeg

Those are a type of woodworking clamp, but unfortunately that is all I remember about them. After I went through some additional threads, it finally came to me that I had seen those used as miter clamps and confirmed it by searching for that term.

Does anybody know what this is? My grandmother gave it to me and I have no idea. The ring on it tightens and loosened to lithe the metal bar the sockets are attached to telescope. Just trying to get a value.

I think it is a piano tuning tool (called a hammer). Yours appears to have 8 point socket ends for the square tuning pins.
