Yes, we love visiting my Bro & SIL.
They are nice people, and have a very nice place.

4 day weekend?? Your BIL & SIL’s place always looks amazing as does your solstice.

We had a Golden retriever for 13 years that passed in 2008 and never had a fenced yard but always knew her boundaries. Taffy was a great puppy all her life and in her eyes she was always happy so pretty hard to have a bad day after one look at her. That said we probably won’t have another dog for at least another 5 or maybe 10 years cause we want to travel a bit first.

I'm going to get another (larger screen) stereo for the Hummer, & transfer the current Hummer stereo into the Solstice.

I did fight for and get a refund on the Hummer tail light housings from the seller, and they did not want me to return them.
That is why I did the sealing attempt.

Bought a used Ford Escape from my brother to replace my son's Malibu, which has been getting more needy lately.

I had to severely trim back our vine at the back yard gate.
We are getting some new windows installed, and the vine was in the way. (TBD if it will have to be trimmed more).

Reminds me of a few augusts when the fires around us darkened the nice August weather and we had the worst air quality in the world for a few years. Luckily we have never experienced what Woody is going through up north if you so hope you all get thru this.

We replaced 20 year old windows in my moms 100 year old home and it wasn’t a cheap upgrade but yours should really save you a ton if your windows are that old but sadly you’ll miss a bit of the old character.

When we attended the NASSAM meet we received stickers to put on your windshield to identify you had registered for the meet.
It turns out the provided stickers were not waterproof, and started peeling when I washed the car.
After returning home I requested & received the art file for the stickers and had some made that are supposed to be waterproof & UV resistant.
I leave the stickers from prior meets on the windshield as they are part of the car's history.

I bet you could pass out copies of those new stickers to your buddies at future car meets and give your method to the guys running the shows so they could make better ones in the future.

Cats are great and even though we don’t have one at the minute we have about 5 or more neighbors cats patrolling our yard like our old cats did for our neighborhood.

I like the new windows! We finally finished swapping ours a couple of years ago, makes a big difference in sound and quality feel of the house, besides the weathertightness. Painting windows became a chore, too.

Windows look really good. Quite an expensive job. The boss mentioned doing that at the Beach house. Today we’re having a new Trane Heatpump installed , yesterday the new dishwasher was delivered. It’s getting more and more expensive. The boss wants the master bathroom redone. It’s old I agree but everything functions okay. Also rumors of the kitchen cabinets and countertops are not meeting her requirements. Someone please help me!

What I am amazed about the windows is how clear the view thru new glass is.
I've looked out the kitchen window more than once & wondered why the window was open.

I have a pretty severe hearing loss, so I won't be the one to judge whether it is quieter inside, but I'm sure they will be more efficient keeping the house to the desired temperature.

Painting was a pain, but even worse was repairing the dried up & falling out glazing.

The stickers were a learning experience in dealing with different companies.
One company insisted on a vector file,
I converted one from the 16mb image that was provided to me, and then the company said they couldn't use it, and wanted $50 per hour to make a proper file for me.
I told them no thanks.
The company I used had no problem using the provided image, and and delivered them several days ahead of promised date.

My son found a complete undamaged bumper assembly on FB Marketplace IN HIS CAR'S COLOR for a reasonable price.
We made a trip to Grand Rapids yesterday afternoon & purchased it.
Filthy, but no broken tabs, and in good shape.
