Made the mistake of letting GarageExperts install my garage flooring

I’ve been wanting to have my garage flooring done for a few years. I spent a long time debating DIY or hiring pros, and I ended up hiring GarageExperts of Greater Austin.

I’m now regretting that decision. On top of letting the clear coat bleed through the edge tape, they spilled a large amount of clear on my driveway.

Lesson learned, just DIY if you want someone doing the job that cares about the outcome.

I had to call the supervisor and tell him what had happened after the job was done. Their crew tried to play it off like nothing happened. One of their guys tried to call and say it shouldn’t be a big deal since my driveway had black tire marks on it already.

They drug their feet for 8 months and did nothing. They finally submitted it to their insurance company and they’ve offered to replace the damaged sections.

It will leave us with a mismatched driveway according to the concrete contractors we’ve spoken with. GarageExperts replied to my negative review with a statement that they are committed to restoring it to its original, matching condition, but it’s just a BS post. They’re not offering anything to attempt to make it all match again.

I had an exposed aggregate driveway about 30 years ago and hired a company to come out and stain all of the fencing and deck. Their sprayer broke and shot oil based stain all over the driveway. They tried to clean it up but it permanently stained the driveway. Their insurance provider sent an adjuster out and they agreed it was permanently stained and obvious. They paid to have the driveway replaced with new exposed aggregate. It was a bit of a battle, but I won.
