Sorry to hear about Hefe. It's sad to see them decline. We had a Cocker that developed congestive heart failure. Cardiologist gave her about 12 months. She had a good 25 months though. Combination of people meds (diuretics, beta blockers, ace inhibitors) and a vet specific drug (Pimobendan) worked wonders.

Hefe is under a vets care, and Im the elected medicine giver, he wont take anything that is offered to him, so it became my job.
Kay is right when she said dogs dont live long enough. He hated me when he first got here, because he had been abused by a man where he used to live, he didnt trust any man. Now he cobbs my arm every time I come into his sight.

Pat and I did a boston **** today, we'll, we started it yesterday but it stalled yesterday afternoon and wouldn't move, so we put it back on this morning, it was already barked so we wrapped it and shot a bit of apple juice onto it.
Yes it was good, I didnt even put sauce on it.
