Anyone know what this small MAC tools lock box was originally used for ?

It doesn’t have any markings or stamps aside from the Mac sticker . Looks pretty cool. Can’t seem to find any info on it

Oh wow . Thanks … so it literally is a lock box ! Too bad this one didn’t come with the key.

I don’t know about a wallet but I’ll have to figure out what tools to put in it

It's a convenient way to keep all your valuables in one convenient, easy to carry package so thieves don't have to waste time looking for them.

Right. Because there's no way that anyone could ever carry that thing off and then break into it :ROFLMAO:

What a dumb idea.

It has four holes on the inside to bolt down somewhere … I suppose if you screw it down to a wooden bench or to wall studs it might be a little more difficult

The new key is a great idea . I’ll have to look into it

Riveted to a toolbox would put up a heck of a fight.

Keep in mind you just advertised your key code to the whole interweb world.

Bolt/rivet it in one of the drawers of your toolbox....perfect place for the rainy day fund.

Any locksmith worth his salt can either make a new key or simply swap out the lock ...

They were for mechanics to lock up wallets, watches, wedding rings and whatever valuables while they worked their shift within their unlocked toolbox. Riveted inside a drawer is pretty secure against casual theft. Snap-on made them too. I have one in my KRL series.
