Amazon dropped it of a little while ago, opened it up and it looks great, plugged in the charger cable to bring the battery up to full charge. When the indicator showed a full charge I inserted a blade and pushed the power switch, nothing, hmmmm. Read back through the instructions, hold the button few seconds to power up, tried that, still nothing. Checked my install of the blade thinking maybe I had made a mistake and a safety switch was keeping it from working. Still nothing, so it appears I am the recipient of an out of the box failure. Went back to Amazon and reported the problem a replacement will be delivered tomorrow. Needless to say I am a bit frustrated, has anyone else purchased one of these?

Never heard of one, but what's the point of the tool? :dunno:

All of the examples on Amazon showing it used for cuts that look appropriate for a more powerful jigsaw or sawzall type tool. Even the video looks like it has to be horsed through a small plastic pipe. trimming limbs :headscrat they had to use their hand to help it along.

Did you expect a Cheap Tool to be GOOD?

It's $80

I don't consider that cheap. The opposite, actually for something the size of a flashlight.

It was the size and form, that I had questioned, whether it was necessary. to get it in some tight closed area to saw, it would be useful.

My Sawzall was considerably more than $80.

I have tiny hand saws for really tight spots.

I don't know if the saw in question is any better.

There's a lot of t shank blades for odd materials but I cant see it being any better.

I have a hackzall and it gets into some narrow spots and it only cost a little bit more.

This is what air saws are for. To date there hasn't been a cordless version that matches what an air saw can do.

So was mine. What's your point?

It's not a sawzall, instead a small form cordless reciprocating saw. $80 just seemed kind of high for something that could be available from Temu.

OP sorry for the troubles and side track but it reminds me of a story from way back in the day. We used similar style tool but air powered for some auto stereo installation work. My boss was using it to cut a hole behind a rubber bumper strip that used to be on the front of 911s for a custom radar detector install. The 911 was beautiful and brand new with a somewhat rare pearl white paint job that came from the factory. Well the blade (which resembled short hacksaw blade) caught on the aluminum bumper, blade snapped and my boss skipped the still reciprocating blade halfway up the hood of this 911. Talk about a bad day. Needless to say customer was not happy but we sent the car to a meticulous German auto body repair man and he did an amazing job restoring it. The tool that you bought looks very similar be careful with it!

Maybe it’s something for the wife to use with an attachment instead of the sawzall. Perhaps the sawzall stroke length is too long and a shorter stroke is better suited. 😉 No kink shaming.
