We have been in this house for 3 years now. I've spent the last 3 years remodeling the house. Full interior, and exterior.

Now, it's time for the garage!

I'm building a 12x16 shed, that all totes (we have a spare bedroom full), garden tools, lawn tools (trimmers, mowers, etc., and my tire machine and balancer will go in. The only thing that will be in the garage is a work table, toolbox, a couple storage closets, and when I build my cnc plasma table, it will go in the garage too.

Everything else will be in the shed.

Shed, all I have left is siding. I was going to have a side door that way I can put my zero turn in, but I've changed my mind on that. Next week, the shed will be finished.



Current garage - I "think" it's 16x18. A lot smaller than a regular 24x24.





First on the list, once all the **** is moved out, is ceramic floor tiles.

Separating work and storage space is under-rated. 16 x 18 isn't huge, but you're obviously making it work already.

12x16 is a "ok" size. It's big enough to get all the bins out of the spare bedroom, and the garage. Plus all the lawn tools, etc. All I want in the garage is the toolbox, and cabinets I'm going to build. My wife wants a "mud room" by the garage door with some cabinets. It will wotk out fine for what we want.

I finished the shed. Paint is next. I started building shelves, but Mardi Gras is here. Being in Louisiana, Mardi Gras comes before anything.

Shed is finished. Shelves built on one wall, still lots of shelving to build.



The garage is empty! Time to build some cabinets! And tile floor.

I am planning on the toolbox wall. I want to add US General toolboxes on each side of the SO box.

Overall, I have 200 inches of room. -84 for the SO box, leaves me with 58" in each side. I am either gonna go with 4, 27" 7 drawer boxes, or 2, 56" boxes. And put butcher block countertops on them.






I am leaning towards the 27" boxes, that way I will have more drawers. I will be using them basically as base cabinets. I am going to take the wheels off and build bases for them.

On this wall:



Will be my plasma table, tig/mig machines, small powder coating oven and blasting cabinet. The table that is on the toolbox wall has wheels and I am going to keep it in the middle of the garage.

I've been on the fence about a tile floor, but I may do that too.

These are both Vulcan HF carts. $109, can't beat it.

The Pimeweld cart was modified to fit the water cooler in. I am RUSTY at TIG welding. By the end of welding to pieces in to lift the welder, I kinda had the hang of it again.

I bought one US General 27" box to see if I would like it before I but 3 more. My plan is to have 2 on each side of my SO box to use as "cabinet" storage and put butcher block on top.



I bought the House Made 2x72 belt grinder plans. Send Cut Send cut the parts.

Not a big fan of the tube-in-tube config so I am going to get the other option which is the metal box sliders instead. I also need a drill press. I did a **** job of drilling the 3/4" holes for the stand. Might actually see if a machine shop will do it for me.

I've been spending most of my free time working on a supermoto bike build and building a deck. Being in South Louisiana, I have only been working on the deck in the morning and late evening. It's getting there, just been taking a lot longer than I thought.

The deck will have a bar in front of the stock tank pool. I just need to finish some trim work and the bar top.

I'm buying the other 3 US General 27" cabinets this week and putting butcher block on top of them.

After that is either epoxy flooring or mini split. Haven't decided.

I was really leaning towards ceramic tile, until I found this epoxy flake:




I think it will be easy to find dropped bolts on it, and its called Blacktop. Looks like it too.

I know some of the ends of the deck boards are peeled up. I still have to secure everything and trim everything out.

I have been trying to find a distributor for this certain floor flake without charging me $400 for shipping. I live in Lafayette, La. And the nearest supplier I could find is in Houston, 3 hours away. After calling them, they have a local supplier 45 minutes away, in Baton Rouge.

At first they didn't wanna sell to me because I'm not a contractor. After lots of promising that I will not ask for a refund if I screw this up, they said yes.

Flakes cost $400 (includes shipping from manufacturer), and about $6-700 for the 100% solids epoxy that I will need to do the job. The cheapest quote I could get online for a "DIY kit" was $1800+. I'm pretty stoked on getting a deal on materials.

After hunting for online pics of the garage floor I want. Which was hard to find. I guess a lot of people don't like the color, I found these on the book of face:





Exactly what I want since my toolboxes are cranberry and gray. I'm getting 3 more 27" boxes but waiting until after the epoxy. Supplier said it's 3-4 weeks before delivery,
