Well, 4th times a charm. Went to my friends this afternoon with the intention of taking the carb off for the 3rd time and removing the idle jets that I missed the first two times and the emulsion tubes that were under the main jets.Cleaned this carb on my friends wood splitter for the second time today, Homfs GX690 engine
just found a good video and I guess there is 2 idle jets below this screw that I hadn’t taken out.
He was running regular gas and hadn’t used the splitter in 2 years.
I’m going to give it one more cleaning and take those 2 idle jets out that I missed this time. This is the fuel that we took out of the tank
Took it apart, cleaned the idle jets, couldn’t get the emulsion tubes out, put it back together, no go
Took it apart again, got the emulsion tubes out, they weren’t dirty surprisingly, cleaned them anyways.
We decided to take the plunger type thing off the bottom of the bowl that had a wire conne tor to it, don’t know what it does, but it wasn’t plunging very smoothly at all, cleaned the crude out of it, the plunger worked smoothly after cleaning.
Put it back together, at this point I’m not even expecting ring or to run but it does, fist pumps all around. First words out of my mouth I think were. “Get me a beer” lol.
