Just an update for anyone bored enough to check. No automotive updates been spending every possible minute at the new/old beach house.
I had to remove 90% of the railing down to allow the Propane Heatpump to be installed. Realized it was very old so decided to do all new railing and a coat of paint and decided that 85 degree days and 90% humidity was the perfect time to do it.
The previous owners had some weird 2x4 configuration that they called railing not sure if it was OSHA approved or not. We didn’t like it.

I went with a more conventional approach that seemed to be better.


We were down there for the 101st Pony Penning and really enjoyed that.


We are back in PA for a few weeks and then It’s back down to discover more things to fix, repair or replace

Railing looks great and quite an improvement with it snd the new heat pump! I have enough on my plate taking care of one house so you guys that take care of two impress me. Is the beach the Atlantic Ocean or a lake? Pics??

Local parades are fun so glad you had time to go see it and didn’t have to spend all your time working on the house (and sweating your **** off).

Thanks! Taking care of 2 houses at the same time was not one of my retirement goals for sure.
Chincoteague is on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. We’ve been going there for close to 40 years, renting houses, staying in hotels and camping we kind of lucked into this house but being over 100 years old it needs a good bit of work done but we’re getting there slowly. It’s a nice quiet beach town which really only gets busy during pony penning in July.

I've been in your shoes and don't envy you taking care of two places. Glad you're able to enjoy the new place atleast!
