I think my garage door is sticking to the seal

This is a 2 car garage with a sectional door. When the door is raised, it does open, but with a noise. My guess the seal is sticking to the surface where it touches the door and the shearing that occurs is the noise I hear. This happens less if the door has been recently opened. I have felt the seal and door and neither one feel "sticky". The seal is 8-10 years old and is pliable but does show some signs of age.
I tried wiping the seal with some dry silicone and it helped, but only for a few days. Is it new seal time or is there a way to treat or clean the seal or door to stop the stick?

I tried silicon first, didn't work. Had to replace the seals. It also seems that with doors in direct sunlight , the seals fail sooner

Look at how tight you're pushing, too, against the seal. The door may really have some force on it, and you don't need that.

is the floor painted? the sun heats the concrete and the bottom seal will stick to the painted surface. Putting silicone down might stop it but you will never paint their again without fish eye. You may be hearing that. The same might happen to the side seal if the door has been painted to match the house. I just live with it. It gets worse in summer and less in winter.

The door faces west and it cooks all day long. The seal is soft enough to seal, but it does look weathered. I believe it's the top and sides mostly and not the bottom seal. No paint on the floor.

Vaseline, rub it on the seal , no more sticking.

My doors face east. They were closed before the paint fully dried. I had to use goo-gone to remove the paint from the seals to eliminate the door sticking to the seals due to heat from the sun softening the paint.
