I grew up with a couple of model Rs, a gas 70, (and more). You'll have plenty of fun with that 70D once you get the pony cleaned up and running. Good score!

Thanks! Almost there, I got the pony spinning, seems healthy, and one half of the plugs firing. Got a points issue with the other 2 cylinders, maybe I'll get it resolved tomorrow.

I'm severely jealous of your views and space - looks like a great place to be able to relax in

It's pretty darn peaceful, I find a ton of solace in just sitting out under the trees and looking at the fields. The vistas and clouds never get tiring, like this one I took the other day:

(The flagpole is perfectly straight but it always takes pictures as being bent. Trust me it's not)

I ran to the other side of the state to check out the Bass Pro Shops and ran into an impromptu car Show at one of the last classic Steak n Shakes.

I had to get the 70 off the trailer so the tire guys could work their magic, totally sketchy way to do this but it worked exactly like I had hoped it would. It's hard to see, but on the flat tire side it was just a good bump from falling off that side of the trailer, which would have been bad news.

A buddy had AI made a pencil sketch of my work, I thought it was pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned my long term goal is to turn the barn into an 80s John Deere dealership. I went outside the other night and the stars were so bright I tried to capture it, and caught a cool pic of the barn, aka future "West Tractor Implement".

I've got 5 classic two cylinders, so it's time to add another one. I found this one online, hooked up the trailer and took off for the 3.5 hour drive to check it out and trailer it home. The owner said "Works good, no leaks".

Well I'll be darned if the power steering was empty of fluid as it had all leaked out (under the tractor), and it was running rough due to "water in fuel". I ended up throwing them an offer that was more than I should have made, and it was lower than they would accept. As I prepared to leave, the owner told me "Tomorrow's a new day and there will be more tractors, there always is". He's certainly right.

At least I got to stop and get a burger, tots, and a root beer on the way home.
