Looking for T-nuts of 1/4-28

Not a common nut. I can't seem to find a local store that would have them in stock. I only need 4, so I don't need to order a big bulk amount.

I'm about to just take the 1/4-20 t nut and tap it for 1/4-28. No lives or bodily damage will occur if that method fails. Just for a gate latch.

And that's what I ended up doing. It works fine for the non-critical stuff.
