1950s or 1960s Proto Tool Chest. I purchased it about ten years ago for 20 bucks from a thrift store, and it sat in my basement since then. I finally moved it out to the garage and cleaned it up a bit. I cleaned and painted the interior of the drawers due to some rust, and the gave it a coat of boiled linseed oil on the exterior to protect and preserve the patina. I wish that i had gotten to it years ago because it is a great box.

Around 58 the duplex factory burned down and proto got those boxes with those handles and paint from beach.

I have found a couple of those over the years, sold one but have this one still.
