Is this Craftsman plastic toolbox actually a tacklebox?

I bought this wonderful toolbox at an estate sale. The gentleman who owned it had some really useful materials in the top tray for household repairs -- pill container of various size wire connectors, plumbing teflon tape, electrical tape, wire (insulated and non), zip ties, car fuses, some various nuts/bolts and screws. More items too. Tools were removed though but I have plenty of those.

I think it was all of $2. I turned it into my general repair box. It's nice because being plastic it's pretty light, and the stackable trays swallow up a lot of stuff. The trays allow your smaller stuff to be findable. I just set the trays down and stuff is easy to find. It has two side latches that can be locked with a padlock.

Even if it's a tacklebox, it's still a nice box.

I have the Blue Point version in green but a few other colors were available at the time. It has been years but they were made by Flambeau or Plano both make fishing tackle boxes and various other storage items.
Did a lot of Ls engine swaps using that box for tools needed.
The Utility tote with the single bottom drawer has been handy also.

It’s a tool box. Im certain I’ve seen that also sold by Klein in a different color.

It's definitely a toolbox, not a tacklebox.
These were pretty popular back in the day, and I still have the orange and black Klein Tools version willf650 linked above. I've seen them branded for several other companies.
It's been years since I researched this, but I still have an excerpt from a Waterloo catalog, whom I believe was actually the manufacturer.

In my experience dedicated tackle boxes have lots of small compartments.

Which isn’t to say you couldn’t use this as a tackle box, but I don’t think it was designed to be one specifically.

I had a single tray craftsman version of this tool box. I used it to haul a small softlight and an assortment of small grip and rigging equipment. It was very handy for hauling and also as occasional step stool. It perished in the Altadena fire.
Are they still available today?

If you put tools in it, it's a tool box. If tackle, a tackle box. If sewing goods, a sewing box. I filled a box with draft beer system parts and tools, so it's a draft beer system box. Another is filled with drip irrigation parts and tools....

Where's the confusion?

I used that exact box for years as my portable motorcycle kit. Loved it.
