Being in Russia you have access to plenty of birch. The situation you are in would have me building these things. And then the gent in the video has another showing how he incorporated it into a vehicle. One for a generator to keep the lights on at home as well as heating up water for the home. I would then have another one in a vehicle for transportation. So long as you can find hardwood you have fuel. Materials to construct are easy to find. Cost can be very low if you can scrounge, and from what I have seen on here you are clearly capable of building these things. Regardless, I am raising my cup of coffee to toast to better days ahead!

Vlad, cannot imagine the daily upheaval in your and others lives that the continued turmoil brings. I am sure gas, scarcity of other commodities continues to be an issue. This has to way heavy and turn ordinary time into misery. I pray the best of outcomes, but know to expect otherwise. Glad you got to take your vacation and fixing even minor car problems, hopefully allows you to focus on something else. Stay well, be cautious.

Sorry to hear that the situation has worsened. I got hopeful when you were able to take your trip and it seemed the situation at the time was improving and you had no issues with at least gasoline and had a peaceful trip.

As you said yourself, at some point things will turn around; it is just a question of when. In the cycle of life, when the situation hits rock bottom, there is nowhere to go but up. Keep safe and keep the faith!

In order not to go completely crazy, despite the lack of gas, I decided to take another trip. This time I chose the ancient Russian city of Kolomna. I used to always drive past it without suspecting that it is a very beautiful city where you can walk along old streets for a long time and admire the architecture. I really enjoyed the trip, especially since it's not that far — only 420 km from the village where I'm currently on vacation. I'll show you a few photos from this trip.


I was just lucky with gas on this trip — I managed to fill up on the way. The first time I waited in line for about 15 minutes, and on the way back for 40 minutes. But just in case, I had a reserve of 50 liters of fuel in the trunk.

And this morning at around 5 a.m. I was woken up again by the sound of an air raid siren. Then I heard a distant explosion. It turned out that another cruise missile had been shot down. Later I saw the smoke.There are already remnants of smoke in the photo.
