My friend broke off the connector for a scan tool and I’m trying to find one that can replace it.

Thought it be easier to find, but I am having a very hard time.

It’s a hd15 3 row connector female.
Hard part it has only 2 rows that mount down to a pcb.

From my searching it’s called a slim connector. I can find a pic, but no place to order from, just 1.

This one has 5 pins on one row and 10 on the other.

Any help appreciated sourcing one

Digikey has a ton of db15 connectors in 2 and 3 row and various mounting styles. That's where I'd be looking.
Like mentioned above, I've searched, thats why im asking for help. Ive tried all the main component vendors.

OK, but what distinguishes this particular DB15 connector you need? The one you show appears to be a 2 row through-hole mount. What do you need different to what Digikey has?

You said "Hard part it has only 2 rows that mount down to a pcb". I see lots of 2 row DB15s so what do you need different?

It's not clear to me and perhaps won't be to others.

I don’t see any 2 row slim db15? Can you link me? I posted in the first post a picture of what I need. Has 3 rows on the db15, 2 on the pcb. 10 pins on one row, 5 on the other. I find 7 and 8 pins, but not the 10/5 configuration.

Much clearer now, terminology issue. 3 row DB15 typically referred to as "HD15" as DSUB is generally 2 row. Can dig a little when home. But I understand the issue now, mainly the PCB pin layout. Gotcha.

yes i know suppliers, but cant find a pn to even see if they carry one.
Go online at those suppliers and start searching db15s. Once you dial in on the form factor, start drilling into each part number.

thought I’d update this thread, I wasn’t able to source the connector. Found one place but there was a 500 minimum order. I bought a pigtail cable, and soldered all the wires to the board. Works great.
