I feel for you, that would have been a nice project. I'm thinking the guys "buddy" wanted the equipment and the old man thought he was low-ballin it so he said, let's see what offers I get and you can match their price.

Last week, I had a nice chair listed for cheap, guy said on my way but never showed. Why do they do that? I seriously would like to see a documentary on these very common Craigslist Complaints. It's so odd you would tell someone your heading over and don't show, or list stuff and change the deal.

That’s CL for you, "IF" it’s free to advertise it will attract these idiots 60% of the time however the other 40% will be on time and turn out to be a good buyer or seller……. I have had good luck on CL and I always talk on the phone prior to wasting my time whether buying or selling.

BTW! That lathe seller was "flaky" from the begging.

I was selling a cheap car. Guy shows up, test drives it, says he wants it. But he has to run to an ATM and that's the last I heard from him. Why? Just tell me you don't want it. Strange.

I think some of these lonely guys just want to take a "test drive"……… Maybe it’s their hobby.
