Swore up and down I wouldn't just haphazardly pile everything on the shelves....guess what the first thing I did was?

Did my best with the baseboard. Turned out okay if not perfect. Ive never used the stuff before.

Try to ignore the cutouts I did for some of the receptacles...I'll fix those eventually

Apart from some smaller light fixtures to hang for when I don't need the full-tilt LED brightness, this is probably where I'm going to pause for the summer. I'm trying to pay this house (dump) off by late next year or just after new year 2025 and need to save a few more pennies.

My van finally back in its home. Poor thing was more bird poop than van after sitting out so long.

I wish I had thought to add less intense secondary lights before finishing the wiring and ceiling. Then I could’ve found a more elegant solution to power them. Oh well, it works.


Six 100w equivalent LEDs in some inexpensive amazon fixtures around the sides of the garage for when I don’t need the work lights.

Haven't done much with the old carhole lately, but today I got off my **** and finally got this installed:



Don't have much to say about the TOSOT(Gree) good or bad. Nice unit considering how cheap it was ($1100 all in from Home Depot) but doesn't quite hold a candle to the Mitsubishis I used to work on 15 years ago. It happily blew 120F air on me when I was testing it out in my 50 degree garage.

Other than having heat and AC now, I did pick up some neon signs just for fun:



I also got my house paid off last month, which is nice. Now I can spend more money on the garage!

Adds nothing for functionality, but these chip-on-board LED strips definitely add ambiance.

So I haven't had much going on in the way of projects out here. Nothing has broken on me and I don't have any money for fun projects yet!

So, the space has evolved into a bit of a man cave instead of a shop. Not that I'm bothered much by that!


I just picked up that HF six drawer cart with a bunch of gift cards I was sitting on. Very nice small footprint box for the price.



I'm really happy with those metal Wall Control pegboards. I bought them from cheap pegboard.com. Really good deals on overstock and SnD there.

After a year plus of use, I'm a lot more positive on that GREE split. Really good working unit for the price. I used to do Mitsubishi units at my old job and those may have been nicer but the prices were out of line.

Put a new battery in my van and got that out for a spin for the first time this year.


And I've picked up a new daily driver. A 2024 Camry LE. As anonymous as can be, but a nice unobtrusive fuel sipper for daily driving. I still have my 02 Silverado for when I need a truck.


And there is where my garage sits as of today.
