I was considering a 72in roller cabinet guess i am waiting a bit yet. What is the best or cheapest timing to get a 72in us general roller?

I received a coupon worth 25% off any one item in the store. It said we miss you so here is 25% off. I used it today to buy a shop crane.

It‘s a pretty unusual coupon. Targeted at past customers who haven’t bought anything for a long while.

Maybe I should have bought a new Icon 73 inch roll cabinet. I could have saved $750

Pretty sure I worked my way up to 30 or 35% off, getting the we want you back emails weekly, before getting a free bag of zip ties at the register, and that ended things.

The drill index is junk as expected but functional. I swapped it out for a Huot index. They have been holding up very well for me but I only use them in my mill or lathe. I have seperate sets of drills dedicated for cordless drill use only.

In the recent years I have heard people say the tip grinds aren't that good/sharp. I don't know the truth in that but I have a pretty nice drill sharpener anyway.

This goes back two years, but I'm thinking about buying this:


I have $25 HF cash and with the 20% off this weekend, that would bring it to about $85 bucks without the tax.

Is it worth that in 2026?

Steel Rain: I have that set. It's OK for wood, aluminum, and not too thick mild steel. Not for thicker or harder steel, or stainless. It's nice to have a complete set. I can replace the ones I use as they break or wear out. For context, I also work out of a catch all 3 drawer index of small, medium, large bits. In other words, bunches of bits that I rummage through. So I am not super fussy.

I had the chance to buy that set cheap when it was Drill Master(or was it Warrior) and decided to pass based on reviews. I needed some number bits and bought the 60 pc titanium Warrior set for $12. To date I don't think I've used them but I got em!

Sets I do own and have used and highly recommend, no regrets:

This is an all time low at $295.99 after 20% (ITC coupon). Last best price expired on 12/28/25 for $299.99. I still have a $130 HF gift card left from the motorcycle lift recall.

But... would a Dewalt Stealthsonic be just as good for less :unsure:

Thank you both for you input. I've been wrenching for years, but I've gotten by with big box store brands and ****** drill bits for to long. The only "real" index I own I got from Dad and it's small diameter stuff (Cle-Line).

Semi related, I got this email as well about a week before you did. Went to go buy their sand blast cabinet I've been eyeballing for months. None available anywhere within 100mi and they could not backorder it. Which I assume means they are either having supply issues or going with a new generation of them. But anyhow that really soured me on it as there isn't much else I need there that is worth a trip to save 25%. Got some S wrenches and saved like $10.

Perhaps next time you have a 25% off coupon you can't use you'll give it away to someone. You wasted it.

I received it on I think 8-9, and went to use it on 8-11 the day it expired. I would say Harbor Freight is to blame for me 'wasting' it.

Fortunately I am pretty well set on the hand tool side and won't be missing a 25% off coupon too bad!
