I shifted focus on cleaning the garage to cleaning the office documents. Let’s say it was getting out of hand. Four trash bags of shredded documents later and I got a grasps on the majority of the stuff. Still got one more filing cabinet drawer to go,

Definitely need to follow the cleaning example here. Jeff and I tossed a ton of stuff last week, im still working on tossing items I have not used or touched in a year or more. Once my truck topper arrives a large portion of items on the shop floor get a new home in the truck, but until then its a hot mess fumbling around these items.

January 2022 I did a purge of all the paperwork from my 30 years of business. This was all the tax returns, customer receipts, invoices, statements, and banking records. I never tossed a single thing, cuz, just in case! Now that it’s been over 7 years since I shut down my business the final purge will happen in January! Shut the book, light the fireplace, toss it in, drink a nice glass of bourbon by the glow of a very comforting fire!

I'm still here, almost 2mo without an update!
Not a whole lot update worthy.
We took a nice vacation to CO in July this year. Stayed between Silverton and Durango at about 8800' in a cabin on Columbine Lake. What a beautiful view! This is from the back porch of the cabin.
Did some exploring while we were up there, including driving the Suburban out to the Animas Forks (Mike @zmotorsports filled me in on what to expect, appreciated his trail knowledge)...lots of curious looks from folks as we drove a full size 3/4t SUV with running boards and highway tread tires out there. Forgot to snap a pic for proof, but we made it there and back. Rough ride, but glad we went, what a view.
Rode the Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Rail Road. Steam locomotives are fun, weather was on the warmish side. The night before we took the train they had torrential downpours in the mountains, Mike @zmotorsports discussed some of this in his thread about his Ouray trip this year. Well that rain not only caused mudslides on the Million Dollar Highway, but also the tracks. We weren't able to go the whole way to Silverton, but it was a fun ride and my Mini-me loved every minute of it.
It was fun to visit the mountains, I enjoyed the cooler weather and being away from the daily grind. Suburban definitely felt down in power in the elevation, even with all the extra cubic inches.
The rest of the summer has just been mowing grass (which has finally dried down and gone dormant). It will come back again in September when it cools off. Started walking and working out again to get back in some semblance of shape. Walking in the mountains showed me just how out of shape I was, even taking the altitude into consideration. Had a range day with my cousin at the Fancy Creek Range outside of Randolph, KS yesterday. Needed to get some of my long guns dialed back in since they've recently been outfitted with cans.
Next weekend we will have our big annual range day here at my house. Have some steel coming to build a rifle duelling tree, and added another 12x20" plate to the mix. I've taken some extra time off this week and plan to re-clear the roof on the Tundra and get some odds and ends done before the crew arrives on Friday/Saturday.
Oh, the mini and I went fishing today...the small mouths were hitting hard. I lost count after about the 10th one reeled in.

Nice views! I remember my trip to Silverton on the train when I was in high school. That town was set in the past with old model t cars and folks dressing the time period.
