All workspaces below 265 squarefeet.
They're more likely to be stolen along the way.
I hope everything will normalize; it should happen eventually. The only question is when it will happen...

Being in Russia you have access to plenty of birch. The situation you are in would have me building these things. And then the gent in the video has another showing how he incorporated it into a vehicle. One for a generator to keep the lights on at home as well as heating up water for the home. I would then have another one in a vehicle for transportation. So long as you can find hardwood you have fuel. Materials to construct are easy to find. Cost can be very low if you can scrounge, and from what I have seen on here you are clearly capable of building these things. Regardless, I am raising my cup of coffee to toast to better days ahead!

Vlad, cannot imagine the daily upheaval in your and others lives that the continued turmoil brings. I am sure gas, scarcity of other commodities continues to be an issue. This has to way heavy and turn ordinary time into misery. I pray the best of outcomes, but know to expect otherwise. Glad you got to take your vacation and fixing even minor car problems, hopefully allows you to focus on something else. Stay well, be cautious.

I (we) can’t even imagine living with the stuff you have to deal with but hopefully these issues will pass and live will begin a new better chapter for you and your family.
We’ve seen or heard of so many options to move a vehicle that maybe you will think or invent one.

Sorry to hear that the situation has worsened. I got hopeful when you were able to take your trip and it seemed the situation at the time was improving and you had no issues with at least gasoline and had a peaceful trip.
As you said yourself, at some point things will turn around; it is just a question of when. In the cycle of life, when the situation hits rock bottom, there is nowhere to go but up. Keep safe and keep the faith!

In order not to go completely crazy, despite the lack of gas, I decided to take another trip. This time I chose the ancient Russian city of Kolomna. I used to always drive past it without suspecting that it is a very beautiful city where you can walk along old streets for a long time and admire the architecture. I really enjoyed the trip, especially since it's not that far — only 420 km from the village where I'm currently on vacation. I'll show you a few photos from this trip.
I was just lucky with gas on this trip — I managed to fill up on the way. The first time I waited in line for about 15 minutes, and on the way back for 40 minutes. But just in case, I had a reserve of 50 liters of fuel in the trunk.
And this morning at around 5 a.m. I was woken up again by the sound of an air raid siren. Then I heard a distant explosion. It turned out that another cruise missile had been shot down. Later I saw the smoke.There are already remnants of smoke in the photo.

Vlad, thanks for sharing. Koloma does look like a neat place for sightseeing. Seeing the motorcycle brings questions, are there many in use in your area and what are the popular brands. Any homegrown brands? My knowledge of foreign motorcycles would fit in a thimble! Stay well!

All good things come to an end, and so my vacation is over. I came back to the city and returned to work at the office. Besides traveling around Russia, I also did various things at my house in the village. I repaired my Oka car — welded a small hole in the trunk. The hole only seemed small at first, until I cleaned everything up and found sound metal — then the small hole turned into a huge one. I cooked delicious apple jam, fed the neighbor's cats, rode my bike a lot, and slept a lot. Now there's a whole year of work ahead before the next vacation.
I don’t know much about motorcycles. We have a lot of motorcycles; young people (who can afford to buy them) prefer sport bikes like Kawasaki, Yamaha, and BMW. Those who don’t have much money buy cheap Chinese motorcycles — I don’t even know what they’re called. Older people (again, if they can afford to buy them) prefer Harley‑Davidson, Triumph, and other brands. There are no local motorcycle brands; as far as I know, in Russia only the Ural motorcycle factory is operating, and in Belarus, the Minsk motorcycle factory.

So, I am wondering if you have apple trees that you can make jam, from the pond trees or maybe bought while on vacation?

I was going to buy a Ural, it looks perfect with that sidecar! I just worried about support after the sale, I'd have to drive a fair distance at the time to visit the dealership service department.
Thanks! Interesting video. Ural motorcycles are supplied to many countries around the world, including the USA. I think it won’t be a problem to buy one in your country if you want to. There was also a factory in Ukraine that produced motorcycles very similar to the Ural. They were called Dnepr, but after the collapse of the USSR, this factory went bankrupt and is no longer operating.
I made jam from the apples that grow in my orchard. This year’s apple harvest is good. I only have a few apples of different varieties. There are late autumn varieties, and there are early ones. I think the apple harvest will last me a long time.
These cats are a whole other story. They’re not mine; they live with the neighbor, an old woman who is 87 years old. She’s completely out of her mind and doesn’t take care of the cats at all. When I come to the village, I feed them. It’s a good thing she doesn’t have any dogs
Motorcycles produced for export are usually of much better quality than those sold here. Typically, a Ural motorcycle either breaks down immediately or runs for a long time and performs well.
How are you able to access this website from inside Russia? To my knowledge, they put an iron curtain over most of the internet, especially social media websites.Hello everybody!
I live in Russia. I have a very small garage, just 3.7 x 6 m (12.1x19.6 ft). In the garage, I do everything myself. Doing after work. The plans to make flooring, paint, redo the wiring. Perennial problem - not enough time and money

I won’t say it’s very simple, but it’s quite possible, as you can see. I won’t go into technical details, but it looks roughly like in the picture — the ants are the internet, and the person is the organization trying to block it.

Vlad, i appreciate the information on the motorcycles. Same names as available here stateside. I think I have seen a Ural and I believe I know the Minsk name, if only from geography. Chinese motorcycles, not so much.
The end of vacation is indeed not much fun as another stretch of going to work supersedes the holiday. Your apples look very good, large pick your own, orchard near me makes a killing on city dwellers in love with a visit to the country for picking apples.

I'm very familiar with Ural motorcycles and I have actually driven one years ago in England. It is the only one I am aware of that is sold with the sidecar already attached. And I would definitely agree with Vlad that if maintained they will last forever.

Do you know what variety your apple trees are? They look like the Fiji apples we buy in the store here which are very delicious. Many years ago I lived in a house which had several apple trees that produced fruit every year, and every year the deer came to eat all the low hanging fruit as well as whatever fell upon the ground. I would drink my morning coffee and watch this one buck stand on his back legs and reach as high as possible.

It is great that you had a chance to relax and have fun.
I sometimes wonder, while one is working, one of the factors that makes the vacations and time off more fun and relaxing is the break from the monotony of working.
Whereas in retirement everyday is like every other day. YMMV. You will have many more vacations that you can look forward to.
And last but not the least , as usual, great job on the rust repair.

Yes, that’s right.
These are local apple varieties, ranging from late varieties that ripen in autumn and keep well until spring to early summer varieties. They are called "Антоновка", "Белый налив", "Конфетница" and others. I don’t know; there are probably similar apple trees, but I don’t know their names.
Yes, these apples are eco‑friendly; they grow in a place where there are no harmful industries, and I’ve never used chemicals as fertilizer.
I haven't done any work on my tractor for a long time. It's all very simple — I'm missing some parts, and I don't have enough money to buy them — the eternal problem
So it's on hold for now. Winter is coming again, and since I have a 3D printer, I printed a bird feeder. I'll hang it in the garden of my house in the village and feed the birds with seeds while taking photos along the way.

Slick. Are there going to be little spy cams up inside the feeder, so you can watch them in real time? Or are you going out in the yard and take snapshots
I plan to install the feeder at a short distance from the window so that I can access it from the warm house through the ventilation opening. That’s exactly what I’ve done now, and with a telephoto lens, I can take quite good shots.

What type of bird is that, I have a forest of sunflowers this year, didn't plant any this year but they came up from last years crop, I have Eastern Goldfinches that have been feasting on them, they look simular.I plan to install the feeder at a short distance from the window so that I can access it from the warm house through the ventilation opening. This is a ***; they are very common here, just like sparrows. They are regular visitors to feeders in winter.
