Even with these solid floors your main vibration problem would still be low frequency vibrations and I don't think the "air spring rubber pucks (not sure about the air spring part tbh, would call and ask them)" will do this but the shock absorbing spring vibration damping mounts should cancel out the low frequency vibrations.

My IR compressor has a slightly porous pump housing. I just keep a folded up paper towel under it stuck with some magnets, and change it out when it gets saturated.

I think I would built a custom size pallet and make it Heavy Duty
to be used w/ a pallet jack

then add some pallet cushions below it

be nice to be able to move it around in the future…

I’ve used these cork pads on a screw drive IR compressor on a wood mezzanine before worked well for 4-5 years

Sparkies have been mia, but the plumbers have been here last 2 days. They opened up the under floor to run the drains. Check out this floor structure! That’s old growth 3x12 measures 4x12 beams on 12” centers! Then cross braced. That’s sitting on 12” old growth Doug fir post and beams. Place was built by the local timber baron back when he had the largest saw mill in the world.

They ran a 3” drain all the way to the other end of the building. I’ll be taking over this storage room soon.

It terminates here into a back flow preventing valve before headed to the street.

Plumber said he was an apprentice when this got put in. Said he’s going to clean it up but I won’t be on this line. We have to have a dedicated metered line as we are technically a separate address so we will get an instant hot water heater.

I had them add a floor sink to plumb the compressor drain into and to drain the ski tunning equipment and will have a spigot for filling the tunning machines.

Did a father son weekend in Sun Peaks with Stian. He’s sending it. This is one of the smaller jumps he’s doing and it’s 15’ from take off to landing. Most adults were not clearing it. He was boosting 6’ off deck on the more poppy jumps. So I need to invest in a new full face and probably a neck protector for him. The new carbon Sentinel made him go from liking biking to loving it and not wanting to stop!

We did just under 90 miles in 2 days. My arms were beat! Didn’t do a lot of variety tho. He found the combination of jump trails he liked best and we just lapped the **** out of them. Personally I’m more into steep tech, but I’m all for repetition at the bike park with him so he gets dialed jumping. I know I can’t stop him from sending it on jumps. so best thing is to teach him how to properly and safely build skills to learn how to safely build up to bigger features. I’m a strong believer repeating the same stuff over and over till it’s 100% then move on to the next larger set.

Awesome ride Grant! My youngest son woke me up at 7 am Sunday to go for a ride. We did like 3 miles or so of greenway, nothing crazy but I was just glad to get out. ***** I havent been out on my mtn bike in a while and even the dropper post needs serviced now.

Got the call that my base grinder is stringing in Seattle on Monday from Germany. Will need a day or two to clear customs so i should have it next week. Rest of the equipment should arrive from ID on the 28th! So down to the wire. Plumbing and framing inspection is Monday. My electrician is supposed to finish up the rest of the circuits then too. So I gotta run air lines this weekend. Would prefer to wait till after plumbing inspection but I need to do it over the weekend when we are closed.
I’ll drop a ¾ L copper line down in the bay left of the pvc vent pipe. I’m going to use pro press fittings for everything. Just need to find a drop ear fitting for the through wall.

I looked at using Rapid Air stainless lines @zmotorsports recommendation
, as it was about $1k cheaper, but the $1500 they wanted for shipping blew that out of the water. Plus they need their own dedicated crimp tool if you don’t use their compression connectors. Plus with copper I can always grab what I need 4 blocks down the street. For 240 feet of L copper it cost me $1300 and another $1800 in fittings plus another $80 a day to rent the pro press tool.

I’m going with a double loop design as well.

I thought about black pipe as I did that with my last system, but no way am I using that to feed half a million in machines! Too much potential for rust etc to migrate into the machines.

Lukas has been here all week organizing the suspension benches. He seems stoked. His fiance came by today to see the shop and I over heard her say to him this really is your dream setup isn’t it. So I know I got the right guy!

He’s working on a Vorsprung Tellum here. I also picked up a second Dawn off set vise. It’s at powder coating now but it’s going to get mounted at 90 degrees to this one and hang off the side of the bench for fork dampers.

I’m strongly considering expanding into moto / snowmobile suspension. Depending on our work flow this fall. However the way it’s going I feel like I might need to hire another motor tech and ski tech first.

Came in to the shop this am to run air lines turn the lights on here a loud pop and see smoke. The back lights instantly go off. Wtf?
Breaker didn’t pop…. Took me a while to figure it out but they got the lights on a 220 circuit wtf? I get you can pull a single leg from 220 to get 110 but this isn’t legit. Can’t believe this passed inspection when the land lords electricians moved the panel. If you look closely you can see where it shorted in the switch box.



Those nuts are fried.

The dumb *** they hired nicked the hot wire and tapped it. When it shorted that wire broke clean. I replaced the wire lead. Turned everything back on and then got a loud pop from above. Opened up the junction box in the ceiling. There was both a hot and neutral with no wire nuts on the ends. Just floating in the box with the other wires and they were live.

Electrical is pretty hard to **** up as modern breakers will throw if not correct…. Except if you wire a 110 circuit to a 220 breaker! And who the **** doesn’t put wire nuts on bare wire ends?

It’s taken these dip shits damn near a year to do the build out. I could have done it my self in a month and it would give been done right.

That’s a rats nest! I got an option to buy in to the building but from what I’ve seen their management is useless….


For the air lines I rented a Milwaukee m18 pro press tool. This thing works amazingly well. But I will say it’s heavy as hell and a bit bulky in tight spaces. After using it a bit I’d love to buy it in a more compact m12 version.

I’m using a lag / ¼ m-20 screw to attach the pipe hangers but I’m placing the air lines above the ceiling joists instead of hanging bellow.

It’s working great so I can clear the existing conduit. I’m running 2 parallel loops. Lines down the north, south walls and middle beam. Then connect all 3 at the east / west ends.

Only sweated joint is the ¾ drop ear fitting where the air lines will terminate in the compressor room. Couldn’t find a pro press version instock anywhere.



I’ll add one more support mid way up the wall. Need to add nail plates too.


Compressor will sit in 4 of these vibration isolation springs. The air drier is also on rubber vibration isolation mounts.
