Normally I would have. But given the well established fact we don’t kink shame here - welll…I was wondering who was going to bust my balls first for using that... figured it would be you, @Mr.zippy , @LXCam, @Jgaz , or @manwithtools- or any one of several other prime suspects...
I’m more of an urban dickheadionary kinda guy.That or the fact that you would have to look it up in your Funk and Wagnall dictionary before responding...

After twenty five years of rails I know exactly how the conversation goes.
Framer 1: Should we line all the posts up and turn them the same way?
Framer 2: No, the steel guys will figure it out.
Framer 1: Should we install backing in the walls for the grab rails?
Framer 2: No, the steel guys can find the studs.
Framer 1: Should we talk to the steel guys before we frame the stairs?
Framer 2: No, they will make it more difficult and it will take to much time. Just frame it and they will figure it out.
And this will go on for eternity.

Lol, we got no wordsmiths in Wyoming now......ever since you bolted for God's waiting room country.....
Got the 1-1/4" exterior pipe railings back from powdercoat and installed with powdercoated 1" Kee fittings. I also changed out the 2x6 redwood top caps; the existing caps were two-piece splices on both sides.
The guys that built the stairs for the previous owner did the funky single side angle detail at the top turnout. I guess they couldn't figure out how to bisect a 39° angle...
There would have been way too much rework required to change it, they lowered the top rail to make up the difference between the cut length on the straight and angled cuts. I decided I could live with it. YMMV.
My bride has graciously volunteered to sand, stain and seal all the top rails before we head back to the Valley of the Sun.

My first thought was it looks great but I would never use the pipe railing.
That being said, I’m judging by a picture, maybe it’s the perfect height and I wouldn’t slide my hand down the wood part and get a splinter.lol

You missed my point, it looks great but from the picture it looks more convenient to just use the top plate.Here's 12 more feet of pipe railing for you to hate, Roger.
My bride recently opined that we needed storage on the back deck to store our outdoor dishes, napkins, flatware, etc. for outdoor entertaining. She wanted something secure and dustproof so everything would stay clean. And portable. And could be used as a buffet table. And fit into her new "Mountain Industrial" fetish. And not cost a fortune.
So, I took her to Harbor Freight..
I had to replace the 5" casters with some that were "less obtrusive". That's OK, I already have something in mind for the 5" take-offs.
