went to my barn tonight because my inside motion light was on,,,noticed a bunch of snow on the floor...now I know I have lots of gaps under the rim board because it hasn't been graded in or out but there is snow by the man door and there are no gaps there,,,
Id suspect the ridge vent but that runs east and west and west is the wind direction..
The man door has the siding over the flange so it shouldn't be from there...
Maybe its blowing around and just landed there but its on top of the rim board too....
Curious if others see this...it blowing about 30 mph now and snowing like a banchee

Also I have a cupola on the roof,,,but I THINK they ran the ridge vent the length of the roof and the cupola just sits over the ridge vent...so the ridge isn't cut out for the cupola, is this how its done ??

If it's not "closed in"....not graded, vents, gaps... With the wind, you will get snow and rain, dust and dirt in the bard.

Yes. In windy conditions it blows in under the eave vents and with no ceiling it falls inside. Probably does this on the house, but is caught in the attic.
