I'm using the M10 gun now and have consumables for it. I doubt there is a way to have the same consumables for a big MIG and a small MIG.

The only benefit for me of having a DC TIG is the ability to roll it over and tack stainless exhaust systems so I don't have to try to wheel the Sync250 over to the lift. Plus I guess its useful if I need to TIG weld a roll cage across the shop.

I'm gonna have to decide if I really need that capability. A side benefit is the second TIG machine in the shop should the Syncrowave go down.

Are you doing spray only or mixing short circuit and spray?

Also are you using C25 or 90/10. I'm debating which is the best way to go. Maybe keep the small MM175 for short circuit only and just set up the bigger machine to spray only?

I do mostly pulsed spray, but we occasionally do short circuit in certain applications. I run 90/10 gas exclusively, the machine is smart enough to adjust the settings to run on one gas.

I sold all my machines that only do short circuit.

The only time I run 75/25 gas is when I do dual shield flux core.

Thanks for the detail review.

I’m a hobbiest at most and really wanting to upgrade to this mm255. My mm135 which I started out with is having issues with the m10 gun. It’s an excuse to buy a new machine. The mm135 paid for itself many times when I did side work. I’m alittle reluctant with the mm255 only because by the time I have issues it would be out of warranty since I won’t use it everyday.

You think Miller has sorted out the bugs with the mm255 by now or should I settle for the proven 252?

I would for sure get the 255 over the 252. Every day of the week.

Right on!

I’ll pull the trigger on a 255 and shop around several LWS to see if any of them have it in stock.
