Anyone know the maker of these pliers? The only marking is a "-B-" forged on each side.

6.5-inch overall length and pretty hefty.

I searched without result except for one pair posted on an auction site where they were claiming Barcalo as the the manufacturer. (Here is the link: 6-1/2" VINTAGE BARCALO BUFFALO SLIP-JOINT PLIERS (-B- LOGO) ).
However, I have not been able to find anything showing that Barcalo ever used a "-B-" to mark their tools.

I have a decent selection of Barcalo pliers and I’m not sure where that eBay seller got that information but I very much doubt that Barcalo made those pliers. That isn’t the first time that I’ve seen misinformation in that seller’s listings.A217CDBA-3631-405C-A5A5-BC5897370A13.jpeg5494271C-9499-41B8-B02A-56169981D93B.jpeg

Just a wild possible guess.... Cornwell marked some of their tools with letters. As I recall someone thought it might be a dating system. Their first tools were marked - A, then dash B and so on. I think I have a Cornwell extension marked - C somewhere, but it is stamped Cornwell also.

d42jeep, thank you for checking through your collection. It seemed doubtful that this was Barcalo, your collection helps to confirm it probably isn't. (I like the wide diamond handle pattern on one of your wrenches).

I would sure like to figure out who the -B- on my pliers belongs to.

The Rule Of Tools strikes again. If you find a tool that you have never seen, or heard of before, then, suddenly, a short time later, you will come across another, or multiple others, of the same tool.

That happened. One month later and 60 miles away I came across another of these -B- marked pliers. The only difference is a slight change in the handle curvature.
