Back about 6 years ago I started a thread “The Flying Shop” about a shop I built in the heart of Atlanta. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/the-flying-shop.343424/
The saga is replete with the misery of dealing with bureaucracy of a large city government and the joys of seeing a plan finally come together. Well I finished the shop. Spent a lot of time and money landscaping creating the oasis in the city my wife and I wanted. The shop was fantastic. Yes it could have been bigger but it served me well. I did a lot of cool stuff and built some nice cars and trucks for folks.
Well all good things must change or do they? My wife gets an offer from a fortune 300 company to take over the #6 spot in the company, but it comes at a price, move to NC and set up a new division. The job comes with some great perks but move and leave what we just worked so hard to finally get finished. The house was completely renovated, the shop built and landscaping compete and filling in. ARGH. So the search began in December of 19 to find a new place. Just in time for the world to shut down. I’ll stop here with a few shots of what we left and a hint of where we ended up.
