    Upgrading capacity of existing 2 post auto lift

    I figured so but I'm never one to throw in the towel right off. Any idea of the margin of safety on a lift...if I'm at 7,500# loaded on the lift am I in for catastrophy?

    Upgrading capacity of existing 2 post auto lift

    Hi all, Anyone have any experience upgrading the capacity of their lift. I am purchasing a weaver two post lift 7,000#. Im afraid my '05 2500 will be over capacity. Will a biger hydraulic cylinder or larger chain do the trick? Also considered pin diamiter on pulleys. Thanks. Clint.

    Weaver Auto Lift?

    I know this is an old thread but I was hoping a Weaver owner could give some info on the steps to remove and install a two post weaver lift. I am set to purchase a Weaver 2 post lift(7,000 lb) this week but have not yet laid eyes on it. Thanks, Clint. Athens, GA.
