    Working with MDF?

    I have not done much with MDF, so I have some questions. 1) Can you run MDF through a thickness planer? (DeWalt 735x) Should I use something like Minwax Hardener before or after planing? 2) If it can be planed (3/4” down to 1/2”) does it need a base under? Like a 1x8 or 2x8?
